FWB Found a gem.

I may be misunderstanding, but the sight you're holding in the pic is a Weihrauch. It won't fit correctly on an FWB.
That’s correct I just switched the iris.
I bought last summer from someone in California. I remember when I got it and held it up and looked through it, it was blurry?
My 300s vision is perfect. I think Jeff suggested to switch the 2. If it rains today I will. Crow

One aperture is probably larger than the other.

You can open up the smaller of the 2 with an appropriate drill bit.

If you do that touch up that hole with some cold gun blue to eliminate any reflected light, or at least help.
I use a lighter quite often to blacken a sight. Just hold it near the tip of the flame for a second or two. That soot lasts well in an iris. A blade front sight will have to be touched up now and then. I soot the irises on my vernier sights quite often.

blueing would be good for a freshly drilled and degreased hole. Never thought of soot on an iris, it might have some lubricating properties.
I actually had to drill out a couple of the irises on my hunting rifles that were a bit small for lower light conditions. I sooted the holes and never had to do it again. The faces of the irises once in awhile. Absolutely no glare!

What's that rifle? My guess is a Browning/Winchester lo wall. I have one of the big Browning BPCR (black powder cartridge rifle) in 45-70. Big heavy gun 30 inch half octagon half round barrel, globe front sight and a Solue type rear tang sight basically a copy of the 1885 Winchester Hi Wall.

No need to apologize. I’ve never seen a rifle like that. Just gorgeous. Love the sights.
I’m not into powder burners. Not really familiar. Amazed by the workmanship.

But my buddy that got me into air guns is hooked on rim fires so I bought one to shoot on his range. 1927 Vickers falling block. I kick his butt. Hilarious.

This is a nice gun but I’m hooked on my springers. Crow
