i’ve read a few things about cutting the HS to get more shots on this platform. i do have a few questions to ask
1. what’s the best weight pellet to shoot out of this gun?
2. is it capable of shooting slugs?
3.

I bought the spring kit with it. Used the valve spring but swapped out the hammer spring. With ARs spring I had to use the side power adjuster. Here's the spring specs I used, .062 wire, .44 OD, 2.12/2.18 long.

Super quiet, very accurate, not pellet fussy. I really like mine.
Above was shot with 10.65 baracudas

13gr without doing any adjustments or cutting. With the hammer spring cut down I had mine shooting 13gr at 820ish and 10gr around 900+.

Mine loved 13/15gr slugs

The AR valve spring was too violent in mine. It caused a loud twang in the back of my akela and with the AR HS it was almost impossible to shoot without the gun vibrating throughout the whole system.

I ended up putting stock springs back in and cutting the spring to 2.47" but I would recommend cutting to 2.5-2.52

I have the Akela 177 too, also from Airgun Revisions.
I had a leak through the Foster fill probe after about a month after buying it.
You have no warranty with the AR guns.

AR did send me a replacement fill probe, part of a kit which contained some other useful parts.

Luckily I can fix my airguns, after many years of learning :)

The main issue with the..177 is a lack of magazines
I could only find them at Crosman and they cost about $27 each.
The magazines are unique to the Craftsman PCPs, Kral magazines do not fit.
