SS, if you’re referring to my Gx the external fans don’t add any noise above the unit itself. Is it louder than a Yong Heng yet?
It can easily drop temps that much. Glad you tried it!!I just rotated mine and all I have to say is wow. I must have had an air pocket because I’m running like 20+ degrees cooler now.
pc coolant from amzon@blackdog899... I noticed your coolant in the external radiator was green... Is that PC coolant? or an automotive Coolant?
If I have to change coolant I’m going to auto antifreeze though as the pc coolant was $20 for a quartpc coolant from amzon
Dang Blackdog, looking good! you could enter that into a contest-Pimp my Pressor and for sure a winner. With this overkill cooling system head temperature doesn’t get to 80f yet.
Small computer fans do not move much air. View attachment 547204View attachment 547205
Got some new parts to go on… haha .Dang Blackdog, looking good! you could enter that into a contest-Pimp my Pressor and for sure a winner.
What were your before and after temperatures? Just curious. I have not used mine since I did the mod so do not have an after temp yet.just did the change to mine. super easy to do. my fan had plenty of wire to not need to flip it like some others. Temps are definitely lower...guess time will tell how well it works....
So long as PC coolant works and is ok for the system it's a small price to pay if your compressor ever leaks coolant all over the place. You'll be glad it's non toxic PC coolant and not nasty toxic automotive antifreeze. How does it work? If PC coolant works well, is non toxic and prevents corrosion I'd go with it.If I have to change coolant I’m going to auto antifreeze though as the pc coolant was $20 for a quart
The MSDS says very little other than it is 98 to 100% distilled water. What I want to know is comprises the up to 2% other stuff. Since it has a very low conductivity I have to assume that the up to 2% isn't salts in solution. So go to Amazon and take a look at XSPC Pure Distilled Concentrate PC Coolant, 150ml. Check the Label and MSDS at the address on the back of the bottle. Makes 1000ML for 20 bucks.
