I remember that too. We'd go to the dump on Saturdays and see rats especially if it was raining or cloudy. That would be some good shooting now!

My friend said today that he think a rat might have found its way to his decommissioned little farm, last one seen i shot in mid December.

I could also tell about another favourite hiding spot of Rats, but i am very - VERY sure the admins will not like my humor.
So i will of course not go there.

Also as it is my friend that live out there in the sticks, i have been coaching him in how to turn the path of a conversation onto something you would like, like a invitation to come and shoot rats.
CUZ my friend would not like to just go head on, so i gave him a few insights on how to make people think they got a damn good idea and ask him for help.

I’ve shot 5 in the past month….they just love my wife’s tomatoes…shoot them at night with an air pistol at about 12”… they usually fly off the trellis and into the dogs mouth. Quite the sound of the dogs jaws clacking together crunching the rat. John

Where I live here in Europe, we see a growing population of rats due to "Der Grüne" or the green political parties. Shooting rats is inhumane according to those tree hugging pea-brains. They have no historical awareness, because rats have killed half the European population in the Middle Ages with the plague. Because of those idiot laws we see a growing number of rats where live stock lives, as well as in almost all major cities that have rivers or kanals running through them. Since a couple of years, I have a permission to eradicate them with a PCP. Where have all the rats gone? Well, I think they have all moved to my country due to the (for rats) positive political climate here. I'm happy, because I make quite a nice living out of erasing them in huge numbers.

Here where I am in south Florida, we never really had them.. over the last ten years or so they have been scraping and building on every piece of ground around. More people and RATS! I shot one in broad daylight out of my live oak in the back yard about a month ago with my slingshot. ANOTHER reason I am looking into getting an airgun. Iguanas as well they have become an issue here in the last few years.
