AirMaks Arms Krait X .22 - Valve setting

Hello krait X users.
I have a question and a request for all those who shoot snails/slugs weighing (27-30gr)
Can you take a measurement and show you a picture of how deep your valve is screwed in? And what pressure of the regulator do you have set and how many shots does this setting give you?
My valve is strongly twisted, so the labour jump is long. It works great with bullets up to 23gr, but unfortunately not heavier ones. I would like to do an overview of how it looks with you.
Now I shoot 20gr pellets and I have great results and much more than 200 shots from a 700cc bottle but I want to switch to slug 25-30gr And this requires adjusting the valve because the resistance in the barrel causes the valve to close too slowly.

Hi,

In my experience, .22KRAiT gave good grouping at 25-27gr/950fps/130-135bar.

If you are using weights under 30gr, I don't think you need to adjust the valve return spring, but if you want more accuracy, you may want to move it a bit.

However, it is just a matter of turning the valve screw clockwise and setting it just a little looser from the point where the bullet velocity drops off. (i.e. maximum bullet velocity)

More than that, the KRAiT tends to have a severe hammer spring adjustment due to its construction.

Have fun with it.

Sorry, not really answering your question, but is this only available on the Krait X? I have a Krait standard and you got me thinking if the Standard has a valve adjustment knob.
Each version of the Krait has the same built valve as in my photo above. I contacted the manufacturer and it can be adjusted as needed but they recommend degassing the gun to keep the o-rings in good condition

Thanks for that. That’s not air efficient at all but I guess it’s either that or nothing at all. Lol

Also to confirm, this controls how fast the valve closes or stays open correct?

I don't know yet how much the regulation will help, but I know that at the moment my valve is open for too long for heavier bullets. I'll be checking it soon
