Gamo Gamo swarm magnum multishot to singleshot...

I recall reading a thread about doing that to a Whisper Fusion Gen2
However, I cannot remember if it was here on AGN or on GTA
I can search later tonight, but you might as well get a head start @Zeke G.

Hope this helps
Edward
Did search and found some info on gta. Seems you just remove the mechanism and it's a regular break barrel. I'll report my efforts if anyone is interested.

I am interested as well. I like the magazine feature as it's great to do 10 shots without a reload but I wondered how much better the gun may be accuracy wise if you direct load the pellet vs the m

There wasn't much to it. Took the little pin that keeps the multi shot mechanism in place out, opened up the two wires that attach the rifle. The mechanism came off and now, she's a single shot! FPS the same, accuracy the same. That's my report.

I did just that with my gen3. It works a lot better without that kludgy magazine mechanism. I gained a lot of consistency and about 25 fps. Before I removed the magazine system velocities would vary up to 150 fps. Afterwards it was about 25 fps of variation and 25 fps higher velocities than the peak velocities I was getting earlier.
can you explain why you think your accuracy and power increased? i can't figure it out.

I'm pretty sure the Swarm mechanism was clipping the pellets as they loaded. Its the only explanation that makes sense to me. I probably fired over 500 shots through it before I removed the Swarm mechanism and what I eventually noticed was that although the velocity varied by up to 150 fps, it wasn't random. With a full magazine it would start out with velocities a bit low, then over the next couple shots it would gain about 50 fps, then the velocities would start going back down again with the last shot having the lowest velocity. It was dependent on the position of the magazine. I ordered two replacement magazines thinking that the mag was problem and those had less variation, but still more than I liked.

mmmh, thank you for the report, that makes sense.
wonder if others have made similar experiences.
did anybody else measure the muzzle speed consistency of their shot strings?

Hi all,
Can I convert my gamo magnum swarm multishot into a single shot by just removing the multishot mechanism? I've looked for the answer but can't seem to find the info.
This is a gen 2 rifle. I bought it years ago and finally decided to shoot it. Didn't like me not in charge placing the pellet in there.

I just made my .22 version gen3i a single shot, trying to find a new mechanism for it.
