Brocock/BRK Out with the old, in with the new

.25 Ghost HP, Hawke Sidewinder 4-16 FFP MOA with medium rings.

The riser can be removed and the cheek piece slid directly on the rail, I used M5x5mm .80 pitch grub screws. Just got it setup, reg set to 140b now, it came from AoA with 165b reg, 33.95gr @ 950 fps. Shooting for 910-915 fps with Mk2 33.95. All I need now is time to actually shoot…

Congratulations on a fine choice… Took a few shot with my Ghost Carbine before work this morning. Simply an awesome platform for this amateur… I have to pull her out of the safe more often. The Atomic and Pathfinder are currently hogging all the action…

I have never used dowty seals, did you reuse them? What gauges are you using?
I ripped one and reused the other. Best to buy some in advance would be my suggestion. The reason it ripped was because I didn't have the gauge tightened enough prior to filling. I bought Wika gauges. They are larger.

Hey, I finally got to shoot this rig. I love it so far, it seems the groups are tighter than my Maverick and the shot cycle is so smooth. I’ll need to shoot the 30 yard challenge to really see.

I shot about 100 33.95 mk2’s and then chrono’d 3 strings, they averaged 908-910 fps @ 140 bar and PW 10, 3 SD-10 ES. I’ll chrono again when I get more down range. This is the easiest rifle to tune, love a balance valve now.

Simply sweet that the Ghost is performing to your expectations, definitely will be following your progression…🙏

Update: I’m not sure what happened but shortly after the initial session, I sighted in the Sidewinder and the groups opened up, moved around and stringing occurred.

I thought it was the scope but ruled that out and the nut behind the trigger and the rifle. This took awhile and was frustrating, but thanks to my AGN brothers, found the issue…pellets.

The Ghost did not like the JSB 33.95 Mk2 for some reason. I switched to the AEA 33.9 and shot them at 910 and 880 fps, accuracy didn’t really change between those speeds but left it at 880(2.5 SD / 7 ES)for now(58 fpe vs 62 fpe). These 4, 5 shot groups were shot back to back at 25 yards and I’m happy it shoots tight again, no more vertical stringing etc. I cleaned the barrel with a patch worm before switching to AEA.

550 pellets down the tube as of today and the reg was set at 140 bar but maybe due to break in or temp, it is at 135-137 and PW 8.
