HW/Weihrauch My HW77 is Complete

Finally an update. Everything is reassembled and broken in.

It shoots like a champ again. My guess is the piston seal had worn down enough to start affecting the velocity over a string of shots.

Here is today’s standing 5er and a bonus beer cap.

This afternoon we go to Nashville , wife has a follow up test to take and then Dinner @

Maggiano's Little Italy

I’ve made some changes to the 77 since I made this post, so I thought I’d bring an update.

First off, added a centra 4mm riser. That gets me dang near the entire range of elevation out of my rear sight. Can now shoot to 75m easily.

Next, I swapped out my Gehmann sunshade for a Centra 50mm extension. This new extension is straight so it won’t hit the feet of the rear sight when I’m zeroed at 20m.

Lastly, I had to flip my front sight tunnel around. Now it’s “backwards.” But for whatever reason, this mounting moves my windage zero from being almost all the way left to being nearly centered. This also extended my sight radius to a whopping 33.75”!

If you like fiddling and adjusting bits and bobs until every thing is perfect, then you’ll love it.
Agree. I do not have any such thing on my HW77, but my FWB 300s is another story. Gehmann adjustable front iris, the rear diopter is one of the Gehman models, adjustable iris, color filters, polarizing lens and a 1.5x lens, too many things to fiddle with. I really get more enjoyment with just an adjustable iris diopter.

What is that anti glare tube with what looks like a large bell front.?

It’s the Gehmann 559. Works great for glare, but if you zero too low it hits the sight base.
