broken stock repair recommendations

I have a stock that’s broken at the wrist. I understand the mechanics of repairing my self, however, I get flashbacks to building model cars when I was kid…..glue everywhere. Anyway, can anyone recommend someone to repair this?
maybe someone local ,a wood worker hobby type ? a picture would help ,( i'm only 3 hours away )

I have a friend here in ND that is incredible at stock repair. He has done firearms but a stock is a stock. He has done work for me as well as some high end vintage firearms dealers. If you are interested I could get you contact info.

Here are some pics

If all else fails, I’ll get a stock from Custom Stocks Inc in the UK

You could try repairing the stock yourself...

Since the stock is still in one piece it should be fairly easy to brace it and force the break closed to check the fit. Make sure that there is no loose splinters or bits of wood in the joint that would interfere. Clamp or brace the stock to keep it from moving around while you work.

Hold the break closed tight and drill holes for reinforcing pins or screws.

Open the break, (check for loose splinters again) and apply a thin layer of 24-hour epoxy to the joint. Warm the joint and the epoxy with a hair dryer or heat gun to thin the adhesive; close the joint, brace/clamp it, and install the reinforcing pins/screws with a bit of epoxy. Let everything cure for a day then clean up as required.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Same.

Don't see why if you can't fit it there's probably a woodworker or furniture restorer cabinet something local to you .

There's guys that fitted there's up jivd themselves here with pictures maybe search and look .

Who put bondo on it. Did someone try to make a pattern ?
I’d check the barrel for upward bend. If it’s your gun, or did you buy it? 99% of the time cross wrist cracks are from letting the barrel go during cocking or trigger released accidentally. That being said. A good fix will cost a bit but it’s a original stock from the looks a Theoben. not even sure there are Theoben patterns available.

Not Bondo, just tape residue. I just picked it up so I’ve no history on it.

I may get a CS500 stock for it and not worry about fixing it

I don't know how much you want to spend. But Mad Dog can make you a much-improved stock. https://www.maddogcrs.com/

I don’t know, I think this is one of those cases where the pics dont look so bad but you see it real life and it’s worse.

Theoben Eliminator .20
the thing is it is not in two pieces so it is not a case so much as alignment , more of a squeeze it back together . But Being it is a Theoben i might be inclined to go with a pro as theo's are worth some cash . If the rest of the gun is in good shape .

I don’t think he makes stocks for other rifles, just for the AF and MROD, or probably he’s accepting orders for other rifles now (?).

That’s what he told me 2-3 years ago when I asked him about making a Benjamin Discovery stock for me, identical to the radical-looking ones for the MROD.
