N/A Smallest/shortest nitro piston

I don't believe I'll find anything, but does anyone have knowledge of oddball / designs where the nitro piston is 'fat' compared to standard, and uses that extra volume to reduce length (making the pistol, well shorter but slightly wider)?

Saw the thread on the PCP one, and even then it's around 12" or so (if I can even find that in the US now).

the nitro piston is just a spring in the form of a shock absorber as you know and that still take the piston to give you the compressed air
i understand what you are trying to do but i think as you already know there will be no off the shelf part to make it happen
there have been a handful of NP pistols
Hatsan has made them and Benjamin makes one
now could it be done with it cut down maybe but it would be low power and the effort to do the R&D could be a losing battle

Pretty much. I was looking at the pneumatic struts/return systems (Softer than Spring(tm)) and thought... double the width of the piston, half the length, higher deltaP over D...

But yeah, the website I used to get parts from went defunct/bought out and now can't buy as aconsumer the small pistons, so I guess it's find someone else that sells them if I want to experiment.
