Has anyone tried to fit an avenge x barrel to the avenger? I know they are a bit different with the dimples for the screws but it would seem to me that should be easy to fix. I'm curious because I like the idea of putting the shorter 15.7" avenge x barrel on my avenger.

I have thought about that as well but wouldn't that potentially effect the accuracy quite a bit since I'd lose the choke?

I've read both that they are and are not choked. IIRC mine has a somewhat sharp step about 2 inchs from the end where the barrel gets smaller

Does anybody have an update to this? I'd like to try to modify a. 22 cal Avenger using a .25 cal Avenge x barrel

I don't belive they are choked. I've gotten great accuracy from them cut down in the past. Let me know. I'll cut and crown one for you or get you a spare I know is accurate. What caliber? I have plenty.
