Other "Sub MOA all day" Challenge

Taipan veteran 2 .25 700mm, 64 yards.
Don't ask me why I had to dial my scope back in. NSA 38.9 Slugs cheap a$$ bipod and a compression sock full of rice.

My JTS and AEA 18gr pellets showed up today . I had a chance to shoot a couple groups with the JTS pellets in the .22 Vet Standard . The first group on the left looks like it needed a few shots to settle in. Just over 30 yards here but looking forward to a calm day for the 50y challenge . Didn’t touch the scope from 18gr JSBs .

Yup mine both love the JTS 18gr. Curious on your thoughts on the AEA pellets.

The 18gr AEA .22 cal pellets shot pretty good . I started out at 45y to see how they grouped and stayed there . Didn't touch the scope settings from the JSBs .
If I had moved back 5 yards and thrown out the 1st group plus the flyer I would have qualified for the challenge. . Lol

Round 2 for the Taipan Vet Long. Same thing 50yds JTS 18gr at 915fps. First shot was alittle low, not too surprised as it's not tuned 3-5% of max and sitting in my truck a few days not being shot it's had major temp fluctuations. Anyways that's a dead bird no problem so wouldn't stress. Was 2 clicks off to the right so moved it over. There feels to be alittle air movement today but hard to say for sure but a 1.5mph breeze can push it that much so will keep an eye on that. My vertical is still dead on since I sighted in so that's why I'm thinking air movement. Anyways I'm not sure if the accuracy of this gun is the pellets are just so consistent compared to the JSBs I've been shooting for years or if this barrel is really that good. I think it's a combo of both. Crazy when I think the .39" group at 50yds looks terrible compared to the other ones and when measured it's well under MOA lol

Have you tried the 30y challenge ? It's fun with an accurate pellet gun . My best so far

The trigger on my standard wasn't as crisp as the shorty. I pulled the stock and opened up the trigger group and adjustment seems pretty straightforward but I wanted to try it after a few drops oil . Now it feels just as good as the shorty and no adjustment needed . Everything seems to be in its own compartment I tried lubeing the hammer spring through the adjuster grub screw but might have to unscrew the adjuster to do it right.

Some more excellent groups. That Vet long found the right owner. Stretch it out to 100 and see if its still under moa. Lol

Great shooting regardless. Pests beware !
My plan is to stretch to 100yds but having the time and weather come together has been difficult lol. Weve had one of the most windy springs in a very long time. Thanks though!

I haven't tried the 30yd challenge but knowing about it now I will definitely join in the fun! Where do i find the targets?

Under shooting challenges, 30 yard challenge. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/30-yard-challenge.1214772/ at the bottom of the first post . All kinds of different targets there if you print . I like the .177 50y challenge targets also.

I would bet you'll get some good 100y groups in good conditions.
Thanks man! I might try one tonight. And I do think I can get real good groups I tried when it was shooting much faster (960fps) and not as good at 50yds but still good. But we'll see how that goes when I do it.
