Well a nice Sony IMX 678 starvis 2 sensor,,,,,,, sure ill take one of those.

Also seem to come with different lenses, i assume not swappable, but still that's good i would personally go for the largest one as i am a zoom whore so 100 please for me..

I know not quite the same, well at least in regard to the housing, but these cost a lot more than a dashcam with a IMX 678 sensor in it, i assume it is the lens that add price CUZ those can be OMG expensive.

Wish i could try one of these out for a few weeks this summer.

The field of view is 2.5°, and only 4m can be seen within the lens within a range of approximately 100m.

With the 100 mm lens ?

This is fine for me, i do not need a large field of view as i do not hunt, well i might shoot a rat but that is also it.
I am thinking more along the lines of, if i was able to shoot 50 - 100 M in darkness, then i could shoot more and enjoy the often seen drops in wind at night.

Also be nice to shoot small targets in daytime ( 50 - 130 M ) and record it, i more like something like this VS attaching a camera to a regular scope.

I have a CCTV camera with 30 X optical zoom, that + a little digital zoom, bringe me really close to things far away, and still not too blocky footage which you can get if you use too much digital zoom, even with a 8 megapixel sensor.

Also have to mention, i just shoot 4.5 mm caliber, so need a bit of magnification to see where i hit, even on say a piece of cardboard that is fairly bright / light brown color.
I do use splatter targets and aim for the middle of those, and most of my shots also hit those even if they are just 50 - 75 mm in diameter, but it is nice to be able to see shots on cardboard backing too as i often shoot at flies, and they are hard to see 86 M away ( my current MAX distance )

Use 30 - 40 X magnification regular scopes ATM, and that work just fine, when there is light that is :)
If my memory from my CCTV days do not forsake me completely 30 X optical zoom is 130 mm Lens

I was hoping that you going to make a unpopular improvement which i havent seen yet on LRF nighvisions. Guys, if you are going to make a new model think about the opportunity for connecting an external range finder button. Im owner of a DS35 with LRF and i really love it but i dont know if im the only one but i have missed a lot of shots out on field because i needed to remove my hand from the rifle, measure the range, set it for the calculator , place it back to the rifle and aim again. I think this would be a super cool feature to be able to connect a microswitch for the range measurement. (personal opinion)

Cheers

For example, something like a wireless button?

Dunno if it is supported by the hardware you use, but many dashcams have a option for a remote BT event button to press to trigger event recordings.
Those are fairly small and could be put where ever on a rifle for convenience.

Of course it is 1 more battery to keep track off, but i think the batteries in such a remote switch last for a long time.

I love my PD35 but there are two changes I would love it to have.

1. Make the splash for the LRF adjustable like the RF light is. The LRF was splashing on mine was so high that I could not see it while zoomed in. Even at lowest zoom it was way at the top of my sight picture. I had to get a different mount to use it.

2. Have the PIP focus on where the BC is pointing at. It would be very helpful if it did this, right now PIP doesn't really do much for me. Not sure how the thing is programed but it seems this could be done with a software upgrade. Whatever the BC is telling the sight to do, move the PIP focus up/down that amount.

As for a wireless button to range; You could just have a wired button that you connect to the usb-c that you can mount on your gun somehow (velcro?). That way the user could mount it where ever they want, they don't need an extra battery, it won't be effected by stuff that messes with wireless stuff, and you could make it do other things if you want. And honestly it would likely be cheaper to produce.
The only real problems I see with this is it will no longer be waterproof (you would have to have the rubber flap open to plug it in) and the wire may snag on things in the field.

1. There is a lot of feedback about the non-adjustable position of LRF. It may be upgraded in the next version.
2. Picture-in-picture. The focal length is at the position pointed by BC. This is very good. I hope I can change it by reloading the software.
3. It seems to be difficult to achieve because it needs to take into account the waterproofness, but I have to DIY a velcro to fix the power bank in a certain position.

Yes but i think too as @phoenix_cow told a wired button would be cheaper and more simple solution. Even not taking the price to account, a wireless switch would mean one more battery and electronics (potentional error/unreliability). If the waterproofness would be overtaken i think the wired switch would be good. But maybe the USB-C could be used still as there are waterproof USB-C connectors isolated from the device interrior so simply if there would be some water detected it can disconnect the USB port just like an iphone and with proper rubber isolation it would be still water resistant so unless we dont drop the rifle to be under water level we could use the port and the wired switch and probably there is not a lot of people who shoot with their rifle under water
But maybe a dedicated connector for the switch would be better so it could be more easily monitored for water and with high internal resistance even a water leak between the contacts would not mean high current as water has significantly higher resistance than a copper wired switch. So theoreticaly it could be even tuned with a correct current/resistance treshold to work with water inside of it if it could "recognize" the difference between water and the hardware switch. Ok corrosion and other stuff could do mess but this could be like a second stage safety after the correct isolation. But dont know how the others but me personally would be absolutely OK even with a threaded isolated waterproof connector as i dont think its too necessary to be able to connect or disconnect the switch on field as most probably for people it would be 24/7 part of the whole setup duct taped to the rifle chassis.

With this one i can also highly agree as now we can only use the PIP only for checking the target but not for the shot (unless not aiming at zero range or close to it and holding over) so its not that much usefull as it should be. If it could be solved by software even on older models im pretty sure lot of people would be happy with.

I have made a request to the R&D department. I am not sure about the time, but the feasibility is very high.

Hi

How about to fix impossibility of Night Stalker 4k reticle adjustment?
Ppl can't set a "Y" number higher than +75 or below -75, - that makes zeroing impossible and device is useless.

Please, fix this HUGE problem.:(

FIrst of all, the night stalker is not useless. It is a very good scope.
If you cannot zero the scope using the amount of adjustability that the cross hairs can move (like any other scope in the world), then the problem is not with the scope, the problem is with the way your scope is mounted to the rifle, or you may have some droop in the barrel, or the velocity of the rifle is very low.
Either way, the solution to fix this problem is to either use amount with a built in angle in the rail, or use height adjustable rings, or the most common method is to shim the rings. If you search "shim a scope" on you tube you'll find plenty of videos showing you how to do this.

I agree that it is not entirely useless. I can hammer nails with it.:)

You wrote a lot of words trying to convince me that the Y-axis adjustment of no more than 75 points is normal. This is nonsense!

I have 2mm rings and the sight is as close to the barrel as possible and yet this is not enough for the point of impact.
Besides, there is no such problem in the DS35 sight!

So the inability to adjust the point of impact more or less than 75 points on the Y-axis is a firmware issue.

PS. I like Nightstalker scope and I didn't return it to the store. I really want and wait for the Pard team to fix this bug as soon as possible.
But now it's useless not only for me.

Unfortunately i highly agree with @Moly-B
Not useless but usless for long ranges. My buddy bought also a night stalker and when i called him for some long range shooting there was the fail. Since the ranged reticle is appearing as second one and its very low at longer ranges you can not zoom your target because of high zoom steps you can do one zoom and on the other the ranged drop is out of range. I told him okay, lets zero it to long range so it will not be out of the reticle. Guess what, yeah we failed with this 75 point limitation.

No its not your fault. Btw i was able to zero my EP-5 with a same angled rail as my buddy. Since it would be pretty easy to fix with a proper software its a manufacturing issue. I think more room for zeroing would be great to make it possible to long range but to dont need to re zero all the time when shooting long range it would be great if it would behave like an ATN or at least have option for its so after rangeing the whole reticle would move so it could move all the way down to the edge of the display giving huge advantage for shooting long range.

Completely agree. Its a software issue which looks was caused for purpose. I think the same. It would be a great scope if these things and recommendations would be fixed. But honestly, now im a owner of DS35 but if this not going to get fixed and i decide to go for some newer model this would be/going to be a reason to dont get a night stalker or any product what has these limitations.
