I've struggled to get decent groups with this gun from the getgo and after talking to @Keene a bit about his I decided redo the crown. I had noticed since day one that the crown was crooked and only half the muzzle had a slight crown to begin with. I kept putting off re-crowning the gun because I had never tried before.l and some days it would seem to group well and other days it wouldn't. I thought I was the problem.
After it finally dawned on me that I probably wouldn't make anything worse, I went for it. Just a heads up so ya'll don't fight the gun like I had to. The pivot bolt is reverse threaded. Why? No friggin idea but it is.
Basically all I did was turn the muzzle end in my lathe a bit past the factory "crown" and then added a slight taper. It was actually pretty easy to do. I know the finish isn't great but I'll be touching it up later. I just wanted to get something done quickly to see what sort of difference it made.
It made a big difference and the gun can actually group somewhat respectfully now.
