What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello @BackStop

I am curios if the author of that statement, "the wind is your friend", did he happen to mention what he was drinking 🥴 ?

Here is the link to the post I was talking about: The wind is your friend.

There may be some good info within, but the title alone made me steer clear based on my own experience.

Maybe I should go back and take another look.

In my long distance shooting, those 2 inch shifts can happen between shots that are mere seconds apart. (ARRRGGHHH!)

All my best!

In 25 yards where do you believe the wind most effects the pellets flight in the first half or second half of flight?
Its a simple time over distance thing. If you have a wind, doesn't matter the direction, blowing on your range and the wind closest to the muzzle blows the projectile off course, then that projectile will have more time and distance to continue off course than it does if the wind blows it off course at the midpoint of its distance to the target. That same wind, at the midway point, can not correct the projectiles off course condition due to a lack of time of flight and distance to the target.

Hello @beerthief

If I had a rifle like that, I would shoot it every day. If it was nasty and raining outside then I would shoot holes in my walls inside the house :ROFLMAO: 😁 😂:D;)

this rifle came up on the classified and lasted about 20 minutes for me to buy it . it was noon and i jumped it the truck and drove 4.5 hours (fast) to St. Louis MO. 5 hours back home (only 5 or 10 over limit ) with a "silly grin " plastered on my face .

Gun is very loud , building a display stand with deer antlers in the next few days , so pictures will be coming soon

I do remembering those rifles to have a real loud Bark to them.
LD didn't have a moderator on the one he used...quite a POP
Weird procedure to load and fire one ..but soo accurate at the pressures used!

mine has a muzzle break on it right now , needs a bit of heat to remove , then i have a mod to replace it .

Hello everyone,

What a difference a day can make. Absolutely zero wind, cloudy overcast but a great backdrop for the white paper target. Little better scoring with these near perfect conditions 😁 .

Hello @manabeknives

The good news is that I did not have to shoot 6 times to finally hit the Bull :ROFLMAO: . That is a huge savings in pellets :).

Hello everyone,

Windy to say the least, 15 to 25 with gust to 30 mph :( . The top row I shot without taking the wind or flags into consideration , I just shot until I finally hit the Bull :ROFLMAO:. The rest I tried to wait until the wind was blowing the least. My 10-meter flag would blow right to left while the 25-yard flag was blowing straight out left to right.
