Fx m3 impact 700 mm barrel

I am a little new to the game! Been watching videos and ways to stiffen the 70mm barrel.
I have the tensioner kit and it all seems to be doing well. But it still allows movement to some degree.

Being a powder gun guy, I saw some older videos on a gentleman that was producing a stainless shroud. It apparently didn’t work well. Atleast as a sleeve.

i’m wondeing why Fx didn’t do the whole barrel in stainless and use liners. Making it thicker are it clears the supported mid section.

i guess their wrapping of the mandrel with carbon fiber is a easier process.

just thinking……….

Just build what you want or believe is necessary. That’s what I do. But that flimsy thing that you are complaining about is capable of some outstanding accuracy. Even I will admit it. I’ve shot pellets for a year through my one M3 500mm. Crazy accurate out to 100 the whole time. Slugs? Too many good days and bad days. So I did something about it.

More guys than I can count are shooting slugs out of their 700mm spaghetti noodles. I imagine a percentage of them figured it out. The rest are just winging it and enjoying the good days. You probably won’t accomplish that by watching commercials on YouTube. You’ll have to figure it out for yourself. The guys I know that seemed to have figured out the slug thing, don’t talk about it. Guys who talk about it can also be guilty of putting out misinformation and half truths. Take most of what you read or believe you are seeing with a grain of salt. Write your own book. If you don’t want to write your own book, a powder burner is the answer.

High pressure air.com sells barrel bands for the impact. Personally I'm considering trying one out. Might be what u are looking for.

I discussed these with SPAW in Euler Fla. Ken has helped me build this FXM3. He stated that when you fill your bottle it expands and contracts and it could change poi.
Anyone else had that experience?
I don't know if it does or not, but in my mind the last thing I want to do is secure my possibly moving barrel to another component that can move.
