FX Ok $999 for the new FX in synthetic stock....

So March will be the target date. Price $999 for synthetic and $1149 for walnut... With Barra and JTS making a similar rifle going to be interesting to see shot count and different styles...the Barra and JTS looks more interesting with the bolt action. Definitely be watching the reviews on all these guns as they come in .....

It seem to me now, in ,177 you can only get 500 mm barrel, so that's a hard pass for me on the DRS classic, i must have at least 600 mm

Not sure about that target date. Every time I check for kings they are sold out. Doesn’t seem they can supply that model. Although I suppose the kings could be a grs stock issue rather than an fx one .

Yes, I’m already cleaned out of almost $1,200. Now I wait to be a test pilot. I have a feeling I will forget about it or lose interest before I even receive it. I’m also prepared to be frustrated because I can’t get extra mags or any upgrade parts for it for an additional year probably. Just living the FX life.

Agree 100%. It’s 2024. If you need more than 500mm for a .22 or less pellet gun, you need to really consider switching to a brand that is keeping up with the times internally.

Thank you! Their website let me choose a 600mm barrel in .22 with the walnut stock. This is the configuration I'd prefer along with adding the larger plenum and the Picatinny Rail. I'm wondering if they can be ordered in that configuration or if you have to oder the parts separately?

I would hope sellers have the parts to do a full package deal on a customizable rifle.
I searched the web and there is a few US and UK sellers that now list the DRS classics with prices, so unless its a bout of mass hysteria i think these prices are good.

Curious on why?

Well i have never compared apples to apples, only apple VS pear in the form of my long barrel Maverick VS short other barrel Vulcan 3, and while the V3 do hang with the Maverick, it is not on the same level, it is hanging by the Mavericks heels.

It would be very interesting to compare a compact VS a longer rifle and then only have the barrel length + of course settings be the different factors
I can say that in my Maverick i can push my 13 gr slugs at very low REG speeds and still get to their ideal speed of 960 FPS, but doing so it dont seem as accurate as when i use a 20 or so higher BAR setting on the regulator but still shoot the same speed.

My local M8 Viking airgunner have compared 600 VS 700 MM FX barrel, but i would not call the 600 mm compact at least not in a conventional rifle way.
