What springer did you shoot today?

Jealous. Nobody shooting nuthin here. 25 degrees all day, 10 degree wind chill, and freezing rain started about 05:30. Everything iced over, highways shut down, we ain’t equipped for this weather round here. On the plus side our Pyrenees is so happy he can’t stand it. Wind chill might be around 0 tomorrow he should be really happy. Hopefully be able to shoot again by Wednesday afternoon.

Finally got a almost calm day so I went out and finished my holdover dope out to 55 yards. it was cold out and by the time I got finished my middle finger was completely numb and white from the knuckle to the tip..lol, took an hour for it to come back to normal. Next up I'll start putting some finish on the bone dry stock and hope it turns out good.

Here the target I used at 55yards to find my hold,
these are 1.0" stick on dots, I had 3 hits on both of them, then started shooting at the actual field target.

You need to rig a scrape blade on your 4wheeler.

I have a 6 foot blade on it. Blowing is 10 times better. Our ground isn’t frozen, so no plowing. Just dug out today. Crow

When I got it , it was the deadliest gun on the market. There was a guy cracking a cinder block with one.

I remember I was driving from Las Vegas to Kingman Arizona and back. When we got to Kingman they were going to shut down the highway because of a little snow.
Difference, we home from Chicago with 8 inches on passing lane, blizzard of 95. Toyo snow tires are the best. Hope you don’t get that freeze you had last year. Crow

Haha. I’m much better after practice with a Daisy M853 from CMP. I’ve shot those well over 10,000 times and know the trigger. The key to offhand is like other positions, but being more aware, staying on target through the shot cycle. My two low ones today were me failing to do that. It really presents itself with the 500-600 fps rifles, but they are great training tools.

I have a 10 meter offhand challenge with the folks at work. M853 rifle and Beeman P3 pistol. 5 individual bulls for rifle and 5 same target pistol. It really helps out and a good break from the work we do.

Next up the Crossman anniversary pumper. This thing about as light as a popcorn fart. Shooting offhand a breeze.

It’s a D 460 if that helps. But the front sights on the K98 are way better than the 460. Never had it apart. It’s a club up front , heavy. Crow
