Other FX King vs BRK Ghost

I have an urge (for some unknown reason) to sell my MKII and buy either a King or Ghost in .25cal with the eventual aim of using it as a slug gun (I realize there are no barrels available for the Ghost yet). I have a Crown MKII in .25cal so that can be my pellet rifle. Which one of those two would be the more accurate? I'm kind of leaning towards the Ghost for the form factor, but really like the looks of the King.

What exactly are you looking to do, and how far are you looking to shoot? Everyone's experiences are due to differ and the two are pretty differently platforms.

Two completely different guns. The first question I would settle is if you want a bull pup or traditional rifle platform. They are so different that it is a primary part of your decision process.
There are advocates for both forms. I mostly hunt with my air guns and much prefer the more compact bull pup. I do own a Panthera and it has it's uses but for me they are limited due to the overall length. Your situation may be completely different.

After viewing a few of the Brocock ghost reviews I personally considered this airgun to pricey for the lack of accuracy they have. If I were you I would wait a little longer for more reviews about the new FX King before making any final determination. I am also taking a close look to this new King airgun but in .30 cal since my others are .22 and .25 cal only.

Lack of accuracy with the Ghost? This is the first time I’ve read about it. Do you have any links pointing to the ”lack” of accuracy? I guess the following was a fluke, or he just got lucky? Or, maybe the Ghost is simply capable.

I am sorry to hurt your feelings fan boy, just because someone wins certain competition doesn’t mean in anyway that this particular airguns are accurate…😉.

Buy a Vulcan 3 700 mm !!!!

You will have all the accuracy you have dream about with both, pellets and slugs.

Wow! Fanboy? My feelings aren’t hurt… I can shoot 25 yard groups with my Atomic and Pathfinder to match what the dude in the video did with his Ghost. As soon as he started calling it a “boutique gun” he lost me and I started to question his shooting skill, it is a skill you know? You take the one video with a questionable shooter and blow it out of proportion. I could respond with a dozen videos countering yours but won’t. BRKs are well known for their accuracy. And yes I am very confident in the brand. I’ve own five BRKs, still have three, all have been stellar afield. They perform on demand when it counts… So, yes through field use I become a big fan of the brand. ¿Y tu, de que eres fanatico? Feliz Navidad!

I’m no BroCock fanboy, in fact I wouldn’t even own one just because of the name….you can call me vain. There is always a bad gun out of the bunch, plus other guns are finally begin to follow FX and becoming more adjustable which also means more room to screw its up by the user like FX guns. A single YouTube video isn’t all that telling.

Nor does it mean someone knows about accuracy of a platform from watching fYouTube videos. 😂😂😂 I can assure you that if the ghost has any problems accuracy isn’t one of them.

If some people consider that a airgun that cost more than 2K who can’t even shot with slugs it would be a good investment of money that’s your prerogative. A few days back I sold my Kalibrgun cricket II tactical .60 in .22 cal, do you people want to know why? Because even though it was extremely accurate, my others three low budget Avengers one first gen and two others Avenge-X all of them were just as accurate than this much more expensive airgun. The following info is for the op, in my personal opinion the Kalibrgun cricket II tactical .60 should be a better choice over any of this two airguns. There is a European company that sell them a few hundreds dollar less than the price you get here in the states. If you’re interested send me a pm to give you more info.

@Ray_PR, you seem intent on bashing the Ghost… So what that your Avengers are just as accurate in your opinion. Are they as refined, as solid. Do they ooze the same quality as the BRKs. Hell no would be the answer. The whole “can it shoot slugs?” fad is just that for the majority. Cheap Chinese PCPs are just that… stop your bashing. Super glad you’re loving your Avengers…
