Coyote Airgun?

First things first, greetings. I'm new here. Not new to airguns, although it's been about 13 years since I've stepped foot on an airgun forum.

My friends' neighborhood has a coyote problem. It's not city, but it's not exactly country, either, so firearms are out of the question. I told them I'll ask around about a decent airgun to take them on anywhere from 50-100 yds, figured maybe will buy one for myself. I myself shoot Zbroia Kozak FC (love how it shoots, but I keep having to reseal the check valve) and OG Leshiy. I have a 350mm .25 barrel for Leshiy, but I doubt it's up to the task.

Anyways, what can you guys recommend for the field work, something well built and with enough power and accuracy to take care of the yotes. I've been eyeballing AAA Evol, but I can't swing a brand new one. I'd say my price range is more in line with mid-range FX guns ($1,000-$1,500-ish). My friends price range is $500-$750, if anything decent can be had for that much. Doesn't need to be backyard friendly, but preferably shrouded.

Appreciate the suggestions.

Buy a Uragan in .30 Cal from Talon Tunes.
what he said except I would purchase it from a well known tuner who is a member here on the forums zx10wall ( Derrick ) He shoots with Team Centercut and does a lot of extras on all the pcp's he sales on his website . Trigger work and ( much more ) He also can tune it for you at your request to what ever you need it for saving you the trouble and time of doing it yourself LOL.

A shameless plug for him I know LOL . Plus he is closer to your location in texas if you need further assistance in the future . ;)

As for your friends lower budget bigragu has something for sale in his price range haha. another plug I know .

bigragu cheap hunter package lol

Welcome aboard! Good info & recommendations re: Hades pellets (if your chosen gun "likes" them) & Derrick Wall (the man!). I personally would only use my .30 for yotes. I'm well aware that my .25 could kill one but I prefer the terminal punch from a .30 Good luck in your quest.

Appreciate that. I am looking at Uragan right now, trying to decide between .25 and .30 and figuring where I can get the money without asking American Express for too much. That said, seems like a well-built airgun worth my greenbacks.

It’s all about shot placement and energy retained at POI so a well tuned.25 is adequate
I'm leaning towards .25, if for no other reason, just because I pump by hand. I'm ok pumping my Leshiy and Zbroia to 4000-ish psi, but their reservoirs are much smaller. With .30, I may have to cancel my gym membership lol

Uragan and Vulcan are build like a tank and are super reliable, accurate and powerful.

Caliber typically has nothing to do with air reservoir size. Bottle guns come in all calibers. Tube guns come in all calibers.

You can absolutely kill a coyote with a .25. If you’re hand pumping, and in your price range, I’d try to track down a used Huben K1. You can fill it to 4000psi and dial it up to 100FPE. Use AVS .254 hp flat base slugs. Coyote won’t stand a chance out to 100yds.

I mean more about the shot count. Says it puts out 110 shots in .25 and 50 shots in .30. Get more fun per pump.

Owners love them, also AGT Vulcan. Solid airguns. Check out Taipan Veteran 2 Tactical too. Maybe too pricey but you'd probably never regret it.
