Rechargeable battery. I don't want to over talk but if my memory serves me well I charge it somewhere late spring maybe, and used this green laser probably over 20 times in my backyard cleaning games. This green laser is a serious value, I can recommend

I’ve been experiencing issues with my Leshiy for almost a year now. I’ve replaced some worn parts in the hinge mechanism that were causing sloppiness. However, my Leshiy still isn’t shooting straight. The latest problem I’m dealing with is an unacceptable amount of horizontal bucking, specifically to the left. From a sight picture perspective, it veers about 50 cm to the left at 30 meters. This deviation is substantial, causing the pellets to scatter unpredictably based on how the gun is held, which makes it very hold sensitive. It can shoot sub-half-inch groups at 30 meters, but the impact location varies greatly depending on how you hold and support the gun.

When I fire the gun without pellets, I can keep the sight on target, but as soon as I shoot with a pellet, it kicks to the left. I’ve attached a video for better illustration.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this? It seems like the power stroke is off-center, causing the gun to kick to the left. I’ve checked all the parts in the hinge, and there’s very little to no movement.

1) What calibre and weight of projectile are you firing?

2) Can you tell where the momentum is coming from? i.e. is the push coming from the tip of the barrel or is it coming from closer to the magazine?

If the push is coming from the tip of the barrel, do you have any kind of muzzle device on your gun, like an air stripper or moderator?

In your video are you firing freehand or is that on a bipod or some other stabilization device?

If you have the stock moderator I'd open it up to take a look at the internals. Perhaps you are getting moderator clipping? That could potentially explain what's going on.

.25 caliber, 34 grains at about 850 fps from 350mm barrel.
I've checked for clipping but the bucking is even worse withouth the moderator. It kicks twice as far to the left when I remove it also the point of impact is way further to the left.

The shots in the video are taking from a stable non sliding bipod, with my hand supporting it from the back. Should be pretty stable.
Also I am an experienced shooter and I know how to work the leshiy trigger so that's not the issue here

It feels like the momentum comes from the folding mechanisme but it's hard to tell for sure.

When you say the momentum is coming from the folding mechanism, do you mean you feel a push of air from it, during the shot?

There's a certain amount that's normal but it shouldn't be bringing that much input into your shot.

Have you adjusted the amount of air that goes into the magazine cycling?

It's the little hex bolt in this image, on lower centre of the image.

I've never adjusted it on my gun, but I think the general philosophy is you want to set it just above the setting where the magazine won't cycle, i.e. wasting the least amount of air to get the magazine to cycle.

I think I had one of that artifact back in time I was learning to tune the L2. People at the club saw it and they were surprised an airgun can kick that much.
I am not asking you what is your shot count, but most likely you loosing a lot of air. You bumped up the Reg because of a short barrel, but what are the jets? Also, when you place your palm just slightly over the indexing (not touching it) do you feel a lot of blast coming out?
You know that it will kick and you trying to grip it, but actually torquing it now. Try again just to test this theory, don't hold the L2 but let it rest on your setup, and only contact with tip of your finger on trigger...

I am again sitting on my tablet, the L2 folder is in my PC. From my memory there is no separate screw or regulator that is dedicated to indexing only. The Reg presets the pressure for the valve, the valve timing the air volume to the pellet (jets doing the Dwell), and the remaining air powers the indexing (indexing need a minimum about 60-70 bars). I remember asking ones Brian about this, when first time encountered the indexing problem, but that was two years ago. It was my question if the indexing timing could be done with combination of jets(x amount of bars for pellets + x amount of bars for indexing), he said better to do it with the mag shaft pressure spring (the upper screw above the mag, no picture in front of me can't tell the #)

I think the "12 on the left" is the lock/set bolt, and the "12 on the top" is the adjuster screw. So you have to loosen the one of the left, adjust the one on the top, then tighten the one on the left, in that order.

So my earlier post ive not really made any progress re the gun itself as I'm awaiting some parts to upgrade, and thought I may as well wait for them before I take it apart fully, but I have ordered and received a moisture filter for the compressor, a few other thoughts, I plan to transform what's essentially a leshiy 2 original into an E.a.r behemoth picatinny set up, for now I'm sticking with the 22 walther barrel it came with but intend to grab a 30 cal alfa barrel eventually too. I have a holosun red dot and 3 x magnifier on order too, I was wondering to save a bit of time if anyone has some advice to get max accuracy and power from the 22 for now, I was planning to try a pair of 0.8 jets and set the e.a.r to 110/120(ish) as ive read others getting good results with this set up, main advice I need is pellets or slugs that work well with this set up, I have both standard and slug mags - are slugs a bad idea in the choked walther barrel? Should I stick with pellets in the 22 barrel and save the slugs for when I get the unchoked 30 barrel? I won't be shooting big range 20-50 yards maximum prob mostly 20 and less, bit of target and Rats! But I enjoy the power and satisfaction of devastating damage, and seems more humane if I'm able to totally lobotomize them! Any advice on anything ive spoken of is appreciated - should receive most of the parts to build it out (less the 30 barrel, that's a future plan) in the next couple of days

If your barrel is choked you'll want to stick to pellets. Slugs want high-twist rate, near unchoked barrels.

One thing I didn't notice -- did you buy this gun new or used? When you look where the air supply goes into the barrel, on the butt stock portion of the gun, do you see a little white thing poking out, where the transfer port seal / puck is? This tells you whether or not you have the "dog bone and collar". This was added to most low-powered Leshiy 2's to conserve air and get a little more consistency. It's usually a good thing to have in a .22 cal Leshiy 2, but if you eventually configure it for .30 cal you'll probably want to remove it.

You didn't told us do you have a chronograph or radar or anything that measures a speed. That suppose to be your best friend.
Me personally spent a good year and a half shooting over 7000 pellets (all the 22 cal Brands and weights I could get to my hands). That was my learning curve tuning it in all possible way with different barrels and jets combination. Finally ended with .22x500mm (Russian polygonal non choked), 2x0.8 jets and removed the external digital gauge from a r.e.p.r Reg. I don't even know what is a pressure, tuning now with radar only and watching / documenting the numbers. 16gn Hades about 80 or more shots @ 835 ES less then 5.

Yeah barrel is definitely choked, so its absolutely pellets only then, my only worry with that is keeping it in the sweet spot 800-900 fps with the best pellet options, kinda only allows me to reach 25-32 ftlb before my fps start going way up - anyway, I'm sure I can crank the power when I get some unchoked barrels - I bought the gun 2nd hand, very low use age, like new condition, I'll attach a pick see if anyone can tell me if its got the dog and bone thing, ive heard of this, I'll deffo wanna go 30cal soon, what are my options if it has this dog and bone thing?

I've still got to grab a chronograph, its high on the list, I realise I'm kinda blind without one, but I've spent out on the gun and all the upgrades and that's it for a few weeks before I can somehow spend a bit more on chronie etc, I'll def be sticking with 350 barrels, wanna keep it compacr! Out of the many 22 pellets youve tried, any that stand out for the walther 350 barrel that you remember ? I might not have time to spend years and thousands of pellets out! Haha
