those are awful mean spiteful coons.. I have lost track of how many I have put down trying to get my dogs.. even had one during the day attack me, fortunately I was able to convince him to leave with a broken axe handle.. then went for the golden boy and solved that problem..
curious what caliber you are using, I actually have the 22 blitz but I question if it will do the job.. only because they are hard to kill and I have only used powder guns for them and coyote.. so I'd like to know what others experience is..

do you have night vision or something else for after dark, I don't like chicken, but I like coons a whole lot less.. one notch above ground squirrels and rattlesnake.. they might look cute but they are mean and lots of trouble

Trash Pandas can be very destructive cute little bastards and years ago we were losing between 20 - 50 avocados a night. So I made a thirty foot square using four motion detectors, which alerts direction of any incoming traffic, but also helpful with after dance exit direction.
The dance floor itself has anchored 1" dia. rebar using piano wired wood screwed avocados. Sprinkled about are peanuts shell on and large cheap marshmallows for any youngsters dancing under those lights. A trail camera or two will record their all important arrival and total time spent on the dance floor also who is the top group rocky. Their direction in plus arrival time under the dance light are all important for a quick working shift.
NOTE: Motion detectors can be set to a different tone for each compass point or direction link;

I'm waiting for video of a full auto mag dump! I have seen three sets of eyes peeping out of the sewers lately, so I'm gonna set up a bait station and send some .30cal JSB Knockouts to have a talk with them.

Highly recommend the hand cuff taps. Weren’t for those traps I would not of been able to provide free lead sleeping pill service to the neighborhood coons. I’ma heavy sleeper.

Yup...my son uses these to trap coons. They work awesome. Just make sure they're staked down tight. Those trash pandas are stronger than you think...had a few hauled off when he first started trapping.

Set your traps where there are no water or gas lines etc. clear open area where nothing of value is.
A mad as hell angry hand cuffed coon will destroy everything between any anchor point and it's cuffed hand.

Cable should work. Initially, my boy used tie wire to anchor them to logs, and they broke the tie wire. Now he pounds 16" stakes into the ground.I plan to hook a cable around a tree

I have 3 bird feeders 3.5 pounds of seed each . coons will empty in a night . squirrels in about 3 days . *I bring in at night 6 pm to 7 AM .

wow lots of replies! thanx .. god bless it, i pooched the shot on the first attempt AND turns out my culprit is a possum .. i installed a rangefinder earlier in the day and it was set to *crap* .. 8 yards ...when i set up and turned on the scope the possum was right there and in my excitement i failed to range it and overshot bigtime ..oh well, next time .. he will lose lol .. its comin
