Daystate Red Wolf non HP .22 Cal arrived. My comments are the following:

A couple of hours ago the new to me Red Wolf arrived.

Took me a little to be able to set the rifle to shoot at high. Now I is set there and shooting the JSB 18.14 grain at 944 fps.

The accuracy of this thing at 100 yards is absolutely out of this world !! I will share a picture of groups soon. But the accuracy of this rifle is a different league than any other of my PCPs.

The experience of shooting with this platform is butter smooth.

With this 700 cc bottle the rifle will give a bunch of shots per fill.

They are nice, I have 22hp, with a Much Smaller Bottle (suffering from Bottle Envy now, thanks). I recently put a Heliboard in it and need to get it squared away.

Enjoy, and show the groups and distances.

Thanks.

Looking at the quality of this rifle now I know why they are so expensive. I was lucky of finding this one used, but looking like new. And at 60% the price of a new one.

In my opinion what is valuable on this rifle is not the electronics per se. Making adjustments manually on a Sidewinder or a Panthera do not imply an specific disadvantage.

What is really valuable on this platform is what the electronic achieve at the shot. You feel at the shot the soft noise, but the rifle stays freeze without vibration. The combination of the electronic trigger and the electronic controlled air release, allow an unmatched experience, and if the barrel and the projectile make its part, a super easy improvement on accuracy for any one and above over ANY other platform.

This rifle is much more easy to shoot.

Something funny with this rifle is that it does not need a cocking to shoot, just to move the safety back from left (no shoot) to right (fire) and the rifle will shoot, with a pellet or without a pellet.
Yes, there is nothing to cock, it's just a matter of resetting the switch. And that's something to remember, as it relates to both safety, and practicality in the field. If you disengage the safety to take a shot, and then the squirrel decides to move about some while you're watching, when the next opportunity arises the rifle has probably timed out. By the time you have tugged on the trigger several times with no results, Mr squirrel may be gone. I realize this is a battery conservation feature, but I would prefer it to be either optional, or selective. I know that the after-market board doesn't have it, but since I have no need to tinker with the programming, I'll leave it as is.

Emu, congratulations on receiving such a sweet DW shooter! Beautiful stock, enjoy shooting it.
Thanks Ranchibi !!

I wanted the experience of a Daystate with electronics. I do not know how long it will last functioning, but let's hope a lot.

This rifle is so beautiful and so accurate without wind that the cherry on top would be to find a slug that fly accurately with this rifle, in order to have a better performance under real life conditions.

It is clear that the power (36 fpe) is not enough for a javalina nor a coyote, but every thing from jackrabbit and smaller can be easily taken with this beauty.

Congratulations on your beautiful rifle Emu. I know what you mean about the way that electronic trigger works!
I love my RedWolf a lot and it’s become my favorite rifle.
I had two of them, a .22 HP and a .177 HP, I just sold the .22 HP because I like the .177 better, but only because I get many more shots per fill with the .177 and the complete lack of recoil in the .177 even on full power.
The smile is going to be painted on your face when you get the chance to shoot at 100 yards!
Here’s 10 shots at 100 yards using my .177 HP and knockout slugs, shot in a breeze while aiming at the same point and letting the group fall where it may.
Post up pictures of your groups when you get the chance, and enjoy that beautiful rifle.

Where's the 100y yard grouping?
Here it is one group at 100 yards.

Please take note that 3 of 5 pellets are same hole.

Take into consideration that I am not a competing shooter, just a hunter that shots from a rest and not form a bipod.

The merit is of the rifle not mine !!
