Texan, Condor, Talon...

Other than names and caliber size differences, what are the fundamental differences between these three AirForce offerings? trigger, loading methods, valve body, etc? For instance if I could get a .25 or .30 in 2 or three models, why one model over another? I do understand the SS, and LSS designations and the CF allows for a higher fill pressure although still unregulated. Also what are good aftermarket changes for the AirForce line that allow a regulator or better operating system?

As far as I’m aware Airforce does not offer anything in .30.
All models are obviously very similar. The Talon being the shortest.
The Texan has side lever cocking and the rest have the standard Airforce breech cocking.
You are asking about aftermarket upgrades without knowledge about what the standard platform is capable of… for your use it may not need ANY upgrades. You can tune a Condor to get a pretty consistent shot string without doing any modifications at all.
Talontunes has a good selection of aftermarket Airforce parts you can look at. It’s a very simple platform though and there’s not really a lot to swap out for upgrades.
I have a Condor SS with an additional 24” .25 barrel and a 24” .22 barrel. With the long .25 barrel shooting 32.8gr Varmint Knocker slugs it hits hard enough to set off the rim-fire exploding targets sold at sporting goods stores.
My Texan in .457 has put two deer in the freezer this fall using 290 grain NSA slugs. One at 70 yards and one at @ 50 yards. Neither deer went more than 50 feet from where they were hit.
In my opinion the Airforce guns are some of the ugliest airguns on the market, but I bought them for their simplicity, power, and ruggedness and I have not been disappointed in that regard.

I would go with the texan there is a 257 cal and a 308 both are pretty good long distance I think the Texans have more power and a different valve over the condor the texans I think are geared more towards slugs I believe

Trigger is pretty much the same in texan and condor easier to load the texan the side cocking on the texan is nice to vs the way the condor cocks

Yes but at $1700+ is a ridiculous price for a condor when a 308 texan ss will shoot pellets awesomely in low power.. in the $1100 price range.

I guess, I personally wouldn't see myself buying a nearly 5ft long powerhouse to shoot pellets at low power when there are cheaper options that bode well if not better though.

texan 308 .. will perfectly shoot pellets in it very low power..but still in the 900fps and light bullets in high power efficiently up to 120gr .. in low power a great pellet shooter..ans you still will have money left for the scope, bipod and scba tank..

What's the count looking like shooting pellets? And what's the farthest you'd hunt with it shooting pellets?
