Been meaning to buy a tin for a while and finally remembered to drop the $6.98 for them during a trip to Wally World.

We'll see how they stack up to my usual suspects. They're quite clean, and in great shape despite the lack of foam inserts in the tin. And noticeably harder lead than the JSB and JSB derivatives that I usually fling. Head diameter is also noticeably smaller at 0.215-0.216". I noticed that at first just by eyeballing them next to the JSBs and the calipers confirmed it.

We'll see!

If they don't work out for you, try the domed. The domed always worked better for me, the only problem being that they are harder to find in stores since Tractor Supply stopped carrying them.

Smalls can be a thing in some tins and .177 a bit more then .22. In .22 the paranhas are tighter overall ( in my stuff). Kust cull any you find too small or they'll blow a good group.. cphp is pretty much all i shoot so im use to it ..lol

The Daystate Revere and the FX Dreamlite Compact. The only .22 pellet shooters I have left.

But this may be a good reason to pick up a BSA R10 I've been eyeballing. Now needed for critical testing, of course.

The alloy is significantly harder than the jsbs. Excellent penetration on lower powered guns.

Way better than I was expecting so far!

First round was the Revere. 30yds. Two 5-shot groups each. FX Atomics and the CPHPs. Pellets unsorted other than rejecting any occasional damaged skirts. Slight swirling breeze which I would pause for, but some would catch it a bit, unfortunately. The FX Atomics under-performed compared to their usual which would be one ragged hole at 30. But the shots are the shots and speak for themselves.

More testing to come, for sure! My interest is piqued.

It might vary by region. I looked online at Walmart and it said $7.48 at my local store. Got there and they were $6.98

Either way, less than half of my other hunting pellets. These are quickly becoming a contender to be my next 20-30yd pesting pellets, which I do a lot of.

Whether or not I can stretch them out to 60yds for most all of my hunting/pesting scenarios like I can with the Hades/Atomics, I will have to see. Maybe. I've been nothing but surprised with them so far.

I might need to get a pellet gage for them, though. I can feel the differences in head diameter between some of the pellets when loading them into the breech like @Hateful McNasty had alluded to. Some are noticeably looser or tighter and that bothers me a bit.

Exactly. My just too small cull tin. I use them in a pistol just to use them

For fun i checked them and the smallest head was 4.32. The skirt was pretty normal size but only the skirt had any chance of engaging the rifling . So it would of been a tru blu flyer ..lol.

Anyway oh well you see i shoot a lot of cphps

I paint the empty tin halves black and use them as bulleyes 75-100y. Like in the hatsan pic above last post/ get a little extra out of them before the trash can

Only pellets I'll put in my Notos. I shoot that with a red dot out to 30yds. My Evol Mini does very well with them out to 50yds. Here's 5 at 45yds with them. Thumb nail is basically same size as a dime, so dime sized at that distance is more than enough for pesting. Pigeons don't know the difference between a CPHP or JSB but my wallet does. Targets do as well though lol

Well right at the end of covid they went from the r,w,b made in usa ( proudly) to the new " airpower" tin thats got made in usa in small print on the back of the blister packaging.. ( wheres my glasses?)

You still can luck up and get the old real prmiers but today it's super luck..lol.

Even the tin crosman just sent me was new airpower tin.

Also i feel the airpower ones aint as tight a tolerance as old primer ls were i seem to pull a few more culls out of them today.

What pellet gauge (brand & size) are you using to sort your CPHP(s)?

I am a fan of these premier pellets but I do also get the occasional flier.

I dont i cull on the fly out of the tin .. then thats the smalls that dont fit the leade by experience or just fall in.

I have some rifles that shoot CPHP well, but even those are more prone to fliers than when shooting other pellets. For example, my Weihrauch springer HW97 loves the 7.9g. My Weihrauch PCP (HW110) does well with the 14.3g.

Another interesting thing I’ve noticed….

I have a few rifles that will shoot the CPHP lights out (super tight group and accuracy) for about 15 shots AFTER switching from JSB/FX/AA (soft lead) to the harder Crosmans. After 15 or so shots, accuracy and groups fall off…

Perhaps its that the harder Crosmans like the soft lead residue in the barrel - lubricant - who knows?

I do find a good tumbling washing and several tumbling rinses to knock and remove as much skarf/ lead flakes off as posable then a light lube goes a looooong way on them. When i dont see silver flakes in my rinse rag then im satisfied to go tumble dry and tumble lube to go shoot'em.

Even with all that time to time i may still find a silver flake on my lube rag. But usual just one maybe 2 , but getting that off the pellets makes a difference. (Opinion)
