Yong heng water separator threads

Maybe Black water separator knob threads?

Then a m5 - 0.8

If it is the brass portion then it is m10 - 1.0

And no do not use teflon tape as this uses a nylon type seal

i see a problem with water separator techniques being used by most people. the aluminum tube stuffed with filters and placed between pump and object to be filled is ridiculous. i got one of those and immediately saw that it was a lousy decision. the amount of restriction to air flowing through these filters is asinine. you loose so much going through these filters. best to have an air dryer/filtering before the inlet that is sufficiently large to allow sufficient air flow and also maybe utilize a blower to assist in pushing dry air into the inlet. that is the better design. i am new to this pumping air de-watering problem, and it's a flawed system.

Okay I think you are thinking that this is going straight out of a airgun like a automotive impact or something. This is going into a holding tank. This uses high pressure. Water will fall out of the air like crazy under pressure. Not so easy under low pressure conditions. The air going through these air separator devices is under high pressure, but not really high volume. And we are not shooting the gun out of the compressor, but out of the bottle after the pressure is reached.

On my hand pump setup where I have the air go through a desiccant before going into pump literally no moisture is removed. But when I used a air compressor to precharge the air going into the hand pump it went thru a water separator before going into the hand pump. You can see the compressed air going through the water separator was pulling water out. I also had one of those stupid tiny filters in between the hand pump and the air tank. It still got wet. So I put a long gold separator between the pump and the tank. Well I also put the tiny filter to see if it got wet. Nope dry afterwards. Those long gold separators actually work. But I have to agree there are better options than the cotton filters.

I recently purchased a YH compressor and I don't think there's a single thread or fitting on it that's an English or British standard. 1/8 BSPP and 1/8 NTP is just that (British Standard Parallel Pipe or National Pipe Thread).

Everything I added or moved from one place to the next on my YH was 10mm-1, meaning it measures 10mm OD (Outside Diameter) by 1mm thread pitch. Actually, I think the outside mic'ed closer to 9.74mm. Don't doober up your machine by screwing in something that feels like it fits.
