Evol 22csl magazine woes

I gotta admit, I was really looking forward to owning my very first evol. Everyone that owns one lives by them. Although nobody seems to post about their magazines. Which leads me to believe I must be one of a Very select few that are having issues.
now I know that there was a post where someone came up with a fix, and at some point, I will probably try it, but my mind is telling me “why do I have to fix it”? For a $2k plus rifle, and a $100 plus magazine, there should be ZERO issues with its operation.
so after some testing, it seems anything lower in weight than the 18 is causing loading issues. They are getting wedged in the gate on their way out, and not loading properly. Even with 18gn pellets There’s a little grittyness to their loading. I now have 3 magazines in my possession, thanks @marlonlayton, and ALL of them have the same issue.
I purchased the mini to shoot hades and maybe crosman hollow points, but right now, I can’t without single loading them.
ive reached out to Tom (@slayer) in messages, and I’ve had no response. Given this week he’s probably busy as heck with rMac, but I message him WAY before that.
Im just at a loss, and honestly bummed out. I really WANT to like this evol, but this mag problem has me second guessing my choices.

Grab some of the CARM mags for the rifle. I must be lucky as the Paradigm I am shooting loads the 18.1 gr pellets just fine, as well as the 15.89 gr pellet. Not sure what issue you are having, but things do happen from time to time during a manufacturing process. I would take apart the magazine and make sure there isn't a little glob of something getting stuck or something like that.

I know Tom was away in a hunt or something the last few days, at least from watching his Instagram things. He is usually fairly busy and slow to respond, but he will respond.

If all three of them are acting up it is either the mags or you :D.

I have just a single AAA Evol mag and it seems to function great. Got it from Marlon as well when I got his Paradigm. Wondering if Tom got a bad batch of mags at some point and they are starting to show up, or if there is something that is being done that isn't correct?

The mags are not spinning around and impacting the other side to damage anything are they.

I have 3 and they’re all fine. I’ve only experienced that issue once (with MRDs) and only with the magazine that I tightened the center hex screw on. They all came a little loosing looking but it seems that may be by design.

Pic for reference.

I sent them a message. Not sure if they’re still warranted or not.

mine line up fine, until you start to push them out, then they start to get caught up.
I'm pretty sure that the magazines would have to carry the same warranty as the rifle. Request a "Return Authorization Number" from Airguns of Arizona and put them in a priority mail box with that number and an explanation of the issue on a paper. They will sort the issue; it is what they and Tom agreed to as being an AAA dealer.

I am going to do this as well with my 1 odd magazine, I have 4 total so it hasn't been as big of an issue but I have one that was new (purchased from a member here still in the baggie) , right out of the package it jammed same as @madeintheuk does.

So a little update.

I tested Crosman how pellets today, and they cycle ok too. So this means so far it’s a hades issue.

I called AOA today to find out if they knew about it, or if there was any warranty on my stuff, and I was basically told by the salesman (service staff were out to lunch), that I should just not shoot hades, and that’s that.

Now I’m not bad mouthing AOA at all, and please don’t think I’m trying to. I’m sure if I hadn’t heard of a problem, and it was isolated to 1 pellet, that would be my answer too, but I’m rather surprised being an evil dealer, that if hades did have problems in their mags, that they haven’t heard about it yet!

Shane from service is supposed to be giving me a call back after lunch to pick his brain too, but so far, that’s my update.

P.s. the crosman hp pellets are LASERS out of this thing from 28yds to 45yds so far (my testing today), and no holdover needed either. Super stoked about that. A $2k gun that shoots $6/tin pellets is just what I needed!!!
