What caliber? I refill my .22 cal after 2 mags (14 shots) but sometimes I'll stretch that out to 3 mags.

Yep. Very small capacity, and generally pretty high output = not so many shots.
I regulated my 177 to get 50 shots with 8gr pellets @650fps
