Brash Red Squirrels…

On my backyard range, while plinking or target shooting on any given day the red’s present themselves quite nicely. See that sweet little cave to the left of the stump? That’s where a few live in my 61 yard berm, little suckers pose on pictured stump. I make those shots consistently on those black walnut husks. They also pose on my forty and 50 yard stations. And while at times I put the crosshairs on them, they get a pass, for now.

Luis, you have great restraint and a kind heart! I have HOSPS and fox squirrels that come thru when I am practicing with my RAW in my back yard, I guess they are accustomed to being around me and the sounds (RAW has a quiet report). My wife loves birds so the HOSP's are off limitis and the squirrels have not caused any damage except for gnawing on my bait station's platform. But, I do have rats and I am at war with them as they try to get into the garage or house!

Personally, I don't kill just the the sake of it, but I have a sincere dislike of ground squirrels, they get shot, when I get really lucky and that has been quite a while.
Same here, can’t see killing them for simply “being”. If they become true pests? Then I have no qualms about it.
