An odd Yong Heng shutdown

Hello members
I could sure use some help solving a Yong Heng issue that is odd.
At least it is to me
The problem involves a used YH that I have just installed to replace my old one.
When I bought it a few months ago the seller demonstrated it by filling a few guns to about 3k psi.
It worked quickly
Unfortunately, neither he nor I had a bottle to fill

I installed this in place of my old working one in exactly the same way
The same cooling water inlet & outlet
The same lines, oil/water filters, and line the to the gun (or bottle)
And the exact electrical outlet (40A x 110V)

Here is what is happening.
The compressor starts easily.
It quickly fills the Tuxing filter and pumps my rifles/bottle to 2700psi easily and then begins to slowdown
Exactly at 3000psi it shuts down & stops
Each & every time!
If I open the pressure release it will start up immediately and then repeat the same shut down

Any ideas?

Thanks
Edward

Allow me to add
YES there is oil in it and at the proper level
NO this is not an auto shut off unit & there are no wires attached to the pressure gauge

Silent,
I'm least familiar with the "Auto-Stop" Yong Heng model but know Biohazardman didn't recommend because they auto shut off at a lower pressure, without operator being able to change. My "Set Pressure" model gauge is wired for shut off as I set dials, is it possible that Auto-Stop shuts off at a certain pressure based on another pressure indicator not related to gauge and you have one of these? WM

WorriedMan, great question, I was wondering the same thing but the more I think about it that doesn't make "engineering" sense. If there IS a 2nd sensor it would have to be electrically tied in to the auto shutoff gauge. What if one wants to fill to 4250psi? It shouldn't just be automatically shutting down at 3K psi. Maybe drawing too much wattage as pressure gets greater could be doing it? The compressor DOES work harder towards the end of a fill. That's all I can think of that makes sense. That is an odd problem.

Ed,
Not being argumentative, just trying to help, how are you sure there isn't an auto shut off in that old Yong Heng? I'm in the dark with the difference in the "Set Pressure" and "Auto-Stop" YH models, as in, I set desired pressure with compressor gauge, it automatically shuts-off. I think both models share the same gauge style, just not sure why the Auto-Stop model is needed if it operates the same. A guess, based on Biohazardman's non-recommendation of the Auto-Stop, is that it shuts off around 3000psi, IIRC, and the operator cannot change that. WM
