Aztec 5.5-25x50 ffp moa

Frustration sometimes leads to bliss
Reticles can and do make me nuts; especially when I’m ranging a parallax wheel and have no numbers on the damn reticle to help me create a really good dope chart.
Took a sightron off my Redwolf today and Mounted the above Aztec on it and Shazam, everything about it was so easy! And it was spot on during setup and testing distances!
Mind you that it’s got some tight arse turrets 🥴but I know they’ll loosen up soon enough. Great glass for my old eyes.

Do you remember back when the aztec em I believe it was had the moa turrets and then the mil reticle or visa versa haha man that was annoying lol
Truthfully I haven’t even looked at that feature yet - i normally zero a scope on an airgun at top of apex, say 25 yards, and then use the parallax focus to determine hold over to place my field target shots in the KZ. For shots closer than my zero point or past my zero point, say 40 yards, this works superbly, even out to 80 yards or more.

Yes! I had a couple scopes like that, actually. Really just a mish-mash that prob indicates some of these scope "manufacturers" are just slapping together parts made by other companies.

I am brand new to any modern scope functions, and I have a used rifle coming that has a Gen 1 Athlon Helos 6X24X50 first focal plane MOA reticle. I've read through the on line manual, and I can see that shooting this gun and scope combo is going to be a whole new airgun experience.
😃
What .20 do you have?

@cavedweller What’s the point of a 2.5-5x50 scope? Was that a typo? And man! Do I know what you mean about those numbers on the parallax knob? Especially with this Sightrons. When I removed and replaced my Sightron it’s was an entirely different ballgame.
My brain was stuck 🥴

I believe it is Hawke you should be referencing… My first generation Aztec Emerald has an MOA recticle and turrets are in MOA.

confusing turrents and reticles.PNG

you are correct Leon this one was five or so years ago lol good memory haha. There is another that joe wayne pointed out and I cannot find it I could have swore it was on the aztec reticles with a discrepancy of sorts but not on all of them. It was a few or a batch I cannot recall .

Thank you Leon your memory is better than Mine lol (y)

Thanks, but I just simply still own the scope, at 62 years old? My memory can be seen suspect on any given day.
