Seeking help with accuracy problem

The barrel is heavily knurled to almost like a gear. Then the brake is pressed on over it. There is a deep V pressed in the barrel with this knurling on both sides. I cut the barrel off at the center of the V. Keeping a bit of the knurling and some choke. Now the brake holds but easily removed. The rifles accuracy is incredible.

OK, I got me some valve grinding compound and a #10 x 3" brass machine screw and went in the muzzle. Low speed, rocking around in a circular motion, ground a crown into the muzzle. Check out the group I just shot (left) and compare it with a group I shot with identical conditions and pellets before I crowned it (right). I believe I can keep working on my hold and trigger adjustments and probably pull in those fliers. Of course, those could be because of my crummy eyes! In any event, I'm pleased!

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that your best group came after a bit of work on the crown. But to get a perfect crown, I can’t imagine doing it without a fine grinding ball. I inspect it with a magnifier and dental pick (to make certain the rifling has no tiny burrs) when finished. I do believe you found the issue. Good job. Good luck.

Also being a hatsan the leade holes of mine were cut sharp and i did think it scared the pellet heads when loading. So like the crown job i did a leade hole job shaping a pencle eraser and spinning it like hand valve grinding

Thanks. I checked the leade - looks OK to me, but I'll get me a pencil and polish it. I have some 400, 600 and 1000 emery paper that I can work on it with.

I really appreciate y'all sticking with me on this and enduring my continued posts! With y'all's help I've managed to bring my groups from WAHOO! to about an inch at 15 yards. I have a good crown on the muzzle now and that really seems to have helped. I'll just keep experimenting and see how it goes. Here is a group I shot about 15 minutes ago - as I have said, "minute of Coke can" is much better than what I started with.

Every guns different, i just threw it out there to conciser or as a tip if needed..
No arm twisting as a you got to or you better..😜. I got more on my hatsan i found along the way , but i dont want to make it a you feel obligated thing.lol.

Anyway once i got that one to good then the gas ram went flat..lol. I just parked it in the back corner.. the other the model 25sc pistol been nothing but fun ..

All suggestions are appreciated.

I polished the bore of my rifle with some Flitz, cleaned it good with Kroil, then shot another group. First shot flew high - I'm sure that the oil in the barrel had something to do with that. But the next three "bug-holed", then one went low (might have been me). It's definitely coming along.

And as I mentioned earlier, I haven't zeroed the laser to POI yet, just been trying to see what kinds of groups I'm getting. But I think it's time!
