Akela Trigger

Hey all, newb here. Just received a new Akela in .177. Everything looks good, except the trigger. It's crooked in the trigger guard, leans to the left pretty hard. Also. Is it normal to ship these aired up?

I'd say there is a real problem with that trigger! you may want to contact Crosman and see how they'd like to handle that. As for the air in the cylinder, My Akela arrived with no air in it, but my Cayden arrived with 3800 psi in it! Talk about one extreme to another, especially since they only are supposed to be filled to 3000 psi! Bottom line, I don't think there is any consistancy with the air!
 
Mines the same, seems like a batch of bad trigger assemblies.

I need to take apart more when i have time. Repair will likely be to fill one side with JB Weld, and then redrill it properly aligned with the other side, clamped in a drill press.

They used a bad bolt (unfinished tip) in the front scope rail hole in mine and brutally cross-threaded/stripped that hole. I took off barrel to polish, and the hole stripped totally out on reassembly (i was being incredibly careful to ensure it was properly starting in the threads, too, there just weren't enough left). That's going to need to be filled/drilled/tapped, too.

Then there's a screw hole on the bottom of receiver (third back, just after the two valve grubs) that is threaded and goes fully through to the valve/hammer chamber, which had nothing in it. Just discharging air into the stock? I thought maybe it was a breather so the hammer didn't have to compress the air in front of it, but even fully forward against the valve, the shoulder of the hammer doesn't cover the hole, so it seems open to the chamber. I just put a grub with some Loctite in there. When i get it back together I'm curious how noticeable it is.

Also, every shaft with o-rings (the barrel, the valve, the power adjuster), had the front o-ring (o ring that gets inserted into joint first) with severe damage, i assume either from inserting it with a grub screw protruding, or inserting it without lube and at an angle where it sheared off part of the o-ring.

And the stock bolt was bent.
