FX .177 Atomic 10.3gr

Here we have:
FX .177 Atomic 10.3gr
a nuclear shaped hollowpoint head....
Well well well👀
These look a lot like the hades🥴🤣...
I say that because I meant to order the regular diabolo; but here we are!🤷‍♂️😅
Order came in and I thought the tin looked different 🤦‍♂️
The colored nuke background might as well have been anything, because I didn't even notice, just saw FX, went ooo! and popped it open👀
Oh well, they ARE the same weight area as the Hades too; so I will put them against each other in multiple slingers at some point, then post here with results.
What do you all have to say about these?🎩🤙

I was doing some 50yd groups with my Vulcan 3 to see what pellets it liked. The Crosman CPHP 7.9gn grouped like this

When I tried the FX Atomic 10.3gn, I couldn't figure out where they were goin. I'll go again but first impression was a real disappointment. I haven't put the chrony on it so no idea what the velocity might be.

Very curious to see your results

Wow!🤗 I'm starting these threads for info; so thank you for adding to it🤪🤙
I will be trying these in quite a few slingers 🥴
All different powerplants /velocities /setups.
Only a couple of slingers like to sling the hades🤷‍♂️
The crosmans are great too🎩🤙

I have tried these in several guns and if i'm being completely honest i might as well grab a handful and throw them at the target...

Lord knows i gave them every chance in guns ranging from a FWB 800 FT, Crown MKII, M3 Impact, Krait , Beeman Chief II, HW97K, HW77K, you get the point...

I tried them slow, fast, in between, and standing on my head, just never did get " acceptable " groups...

That is completely understandable; some pellets just don't like certain slingers and the other way around too🤷‍♂️
Good info!
What yardage might I ask were you slinging them at?😅😇

Tried them at 25M, then 30M, and out to 50M
Not too much difference in the shorter range, out 50 forget about it...

Had mild weather and virtually no wind today so I went out and gave the FX Atomic 10.3's another try. Another poor showing.
For example the AA Diabolo Field Heavy 10.3 shot very well at 50yds

However, I had to break out the 12" target to keep track of the FX Atomics. That's about 4.5" center to center.... OUCH (n)
50yds as well at 912fps

Again, this is out of my AGT Vulcan 3.

Seems your vulcan doesnt like them😔that bites

I've tried hades in 177, and they shot for crap, in 3 different guns.

22 and 25 hades are dead on out to 50 in every gun I've tried them in, especially in the 925-950 fps range. Took a coon at 40 yards with a 22 hades going 920ish. One right between the eyes and dropped like a rock.

They are FX brand hades, the benefit of FX or air arms branded pellets is they have their own dies so the pellets are more consistent. I only buy FX pellets because of the consistency from the same die set.

Nice! I think I have only a few styles of theirs now but yes they all seem very consistent like you stated🎩🤙

From all the usual promo sellers: FX dont have their own dies but get to use the dies first. JSB makes a run of FX branded pellets with fresh dies and after a certain number of cycles they use the dies to make "normal" pellets. AirArms are the ones that have their own die designs contracted with JSB for production. The FX pellets are a great deal since they are supposed to be slightly more consistent and they are cheaper than normal JSB pellets.

From the quality and consistency of the pellets they sure seem to have their own but regardless of which dies FX/AA pellets are made from they are just better. I got really tired and annoyed by all the bad pellets from JSB tins last couple of orders where FX tins had hardly any bad pellets. I am specifically referring to 177 10.3 grain pellets, my hades from 2 years ago when the dies were brand new are basically perfect too.

I shoot the 15.9 gr .22 in my wildcat mk3 compact and they are amazing. I’m sure they’re a hades packaged for FX, as all the other FX pellets are JSB. I’m shooting them at 937 and they are extremely accurate. I love them.
My lady came very close to ordering her 1st PCP yesterday but she had a few questions so she put me up to calling SPAW today. She opted for a Wildcat MK3 VP/600mm barrel in .22 cal but had them swap out the aluminum bottle for a 580cc Carbon Fiber 300 Bar bottle. Steven and I discussed intentions and they're tuning it for FX Hybrid Slugs (22 grain) so we bought an extra tin of those and 2 tins of the FX Atomics/Hades. I'd love to know more about your definition of "Extremely Accurate" since her gun will be pretty much like yours but with an extra 4" of barrel.

Hey IRBent,
I have killed house sparrows, starlings and Eurasian Dove from 20 Yards to 70 yards and a Squirrel at 40. I've only owned it for about a month and its absolutly my favorite Airgun I've owned. As long as I take in account the wind and don't forget to set the range on the turret (i did that today), it dont miss. My main target at my house is at 40yrds and its pellet on pellet. Theres a storm blowing in and its windy as hell out there today but ill try to post a 5-10rd group for you tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

Tested them again today. Can't decide which are better; the fx or jsb

JSB Hades and FX Atomic dies are pretty new so unlikely will see major difference for now. JSB sells more so eventually JSB version will likely degrade in quality sooner like their regular pellets, but that might take a while.

For comparison I ordered 4 tins of hades for my backyard squirrels 2 years ago when it was new and I’m just now on my last tin of those 4. Bought 5 more tins of FX version 6 months ago and they are still taped together. However I’ve gone through only 4 tins of 10.3 grain pellets in as many months mainly because of amount of rain we had, or the ratio of 10.3 to Hades I shoot is likely 20:1 if not more.
