I really can't say I find any air rifle beautiful, imo they are quite ugly. The wood on some of them is beautiful, but the rest of the gun just don't do it. And if there is no fancy wood, well I guess you know what I think. I have two that have blue laminated stocks, that I feel look good. Now throw a black powder rifle or sharps rifle with extra fancy wood, and I find many of them beautiful. Of course just my opinion, and many don't see things the same as I.

Good lord!! And I thought I had some pretty powder burners. No offense but I don’t think hunks of aluminum fall into a beautiful rifle category. But aluminum guns can still be a sharp looking gun. Kinda like saying wow, that’s a beautiful mannequin. Just not quite the same as the real thing.

Grandpa had a 40-110 sharps he got from his grandpa. That was a beautiful rifle. He told a story about his father rolling a yote at about 450 yards with it while standing beside his horse rested on the saddle. Different kind of men in those days. 😉

When I saw this walnut Tomahawk on eBay I thought man, I think that's one of those Webleys with hidden beauty in the walnut. Didn't look that special and nobody else bid on it. But I still didn't really get it cheap. When It arrived I stripped the stock (was in very good condition) and reshaped the too hign comb. Chased out the checkers. Stained it with minwax red oak. Too dark, so I washed it down with mineral spirits next day. Then finished it off "my way". You see the results above in the video. Post #11. The wood feels like silk. One of my favorite shooters for off hand use. At 23 ft lb.
