Daystate Revere .177 regulated

AOA purchase
I bought a dinged new rifle - it’s beautiful and the little ding reminds me to shoot more and I saved over $300.
As most people find, the reg pressure was set pretty high, so air consumption was also high. I let a talented forum member tune it for my specific field target needs.
His tune is magic, the regulator pressure and hammer needed help, TP polishing and some other valve / spring work. I have a sweet trigger with a long first stage but very crisp second stage, the polished barrel is laser beam so far. I mounted a new hawke sidewinder on it and added a Carm flip out single shot loader. It’s a pleasure to shoot offhand. Very QUIET! 🤩
Does a Daystate Revere need a professional tuner? NO! But as we all know there is a difference between factory standards/off the shelf and the subtle or even major improvements that can be gained by a skilled gunsmith/tuner. I suspect i will never miss a shot because of the gun... it's pretty much always on me "or the wind".

I love mine! However I am concerned you might of got taken advantage of. All those things you stated that was done and that it does are all stock standard on min when I got it. It literally is all those thing’s straight out the box. They are really great guns. Perfect for HFT
Reg was as usual set way too high, some porting and polishing in the transfer port, trigger work and barrel polishing all part of the make it 100% my gun program. So I'm good - but thanks for the concern. Plus the money i saved at AOA paid for my tune. Check out this really cool flip out loader from CARM! super easy flip up to help my sometimes stupid fingers.

All that matters is you’re happy. I’m glad it all worked out for you. It was just the first revere that I have heard of having to get tuned. I mean it’s kinda what they are known for. Just take it out the box and shoot. That is a beautiful looking stock. I do need to get me one of those flip loaders.
you have a choice of flip up or flip down, mine flips up so the scope height needs a little more room. FYI.

Don't they come tuned to a little less than 20 fpe already?? Mine shoots around 18. Close enough.
Yes. Mine too did clean 18 ft/ibs with 10,34grain JSB. Less ft/ibs with lighter weights and even lesser ft/ibs with slugs. I dialed the hammerspring a little and now it does 22 ft/ibs with 20grain ZANs....and less ft/ibs with pellets.

I got the flip down version from Carm - works great.

I went with the left side load version (he offers both). So, I load with left hand and cock with right hand. Seems natural that way.

I’ve discovered in FT specific set ups the large ranging wheel sometimes obstructed the loading from left. Not always.
