Some of those old crosman stocks have amazing grain under the varnish they slathered on them. When they switched from American walnut to beech was a disservice.

Have you gotten yours?I ordered one at 1:30 CST and they said only one left in stock. Did they happen to say anything to you? It was weird, the lady immediately said they didn't have any, but then paused for about 45 seconds and said they have one.

Got mine a while back.
Been looking at PB trigger guards myself to pair with the MROD trigger assembly.I put a trigger guard off an old Remington on mine. I will post a pict, but I need to take one in good lighting, sunlight, to better show the off the the grain of the old elm.
Ok, please understand that I am a butcher of all things made of wood, so getting this small project this far is a real accomplishment for me.
This is my first attempt at this sort of thing.
I needed to span a 4” hole. I bought the guard on fleabay because it was the only one that provided measurements. Screw to screw was just over 3.5”, so I gambled that I could make it fit.
The bending resulted in making more shallow, but it doesn’t interfere with operation of the safety or trigger. Plus I have skinny little fingers.
Please ignore the finishing washer as I still need to find som black hardware.

Yeah, it looks fineThanks Chris. I’ll keep my eye open for others, but it works well enough for now.
