Who's your shooting buddy?

My #1 shootin buddy is my dog Blanco. Smart as heck and not afraid of airguns or PB.
Rescued him from the streets of Mexico where he lived for two years.

I just came in from shootig before I posted this. Cute pup. What kind?
Pyrador... Mix between a black lab and great Pyrenees. My daughter has the female lab.. her neighbor had the Pyrenees 🤣🤣 next thing you know there was 7 pups..
Momma seen the runt and had to have him.
Happy wife happy life... I gotta be honest though I do like the little fella..

Shooting buddy is my son.....and this summer my daughter will be joining in on the fun.

Great to see them shooting and the excitement when they not only hit the target, but hit the kill zone and knock down the target.

This is the reason why I now have 2 R5M rifles, and may have to get more once the daughter starts shooting.

Funny, all pets (so far)... Yeah my two (not full Siamese) Siamese cats, Clyde and Pete. They let me know when a gun is too loud.
Since I shoot in or nearly...in the house (at or through the back door, across the living room, and down the hall, into a foam target. If they are in the living room sleeping or hanging out, and I start shooting, if they stay, I'm pretty sure the gun's sound is acceptable.
If they get up and go into my bedroom, I have a good idea that the gun is too loud.

It's a pain in the butt, when they walk down the hall, stop near the end and just sit there, because they haven't figured out which room to go into, I gotta wait for them to make up their mind, and...move.

Clyde's asleep, Pete's watching me.

My buddy...?? Its Ruff, Ruff Howser.

He likes goofing around but gets serious on squirrel treeing and fatching. You could say he got squirrel on the brain.. always on watch.

When coming back from a target rack he likes i give him the old shot card to take bak to the bench ( to the garbage can). Thats big fun..lol.

Too funny Mike, that is exactly how I judge muzzle report too. If the cats leave the room, it’s too loud, LOL!
If not sleeping, 2 of the 3 harass me while I shoot. And the insist on sitting by the target box.

The suburban dogs don’t like it at all, no matter how quiet.

Feeling bad for beating up a Praying Mantis !!
I started to (air), hose down the engine compartment of one of the cars that I'm working on. As I went around the carburetor, I noticed a Praying Mantis...too late, and blasted him/her into the firewall. I felt bad and moved over to let him get he bearings back !
I stopped and went into the garage, came back out to finish, as I'm moving the pressure gun around, guess who's now in front of the carburetor, and I'm beside it, and wham, he goes slamming into the fender well.
Geeze..! He's still walking so... I go get my camera, he's now on the radiator tank, I followed him around a little.

Funny when you feel bad for giving an insect a headache !

Our dogs are rescued dogs too. This is Angel. We found her lying in the middle of a country road 13 years ago. This wonderful dog is still with us. She loves being outside with me when I shoot.

A rescue dog can have a new appreciation for his new owner . Most don't blow a 2ed chance. Saddly some never got a chance to start with.. its a shame.
So true, so so true.

Buckley has been with us for one year this month. He was in the city kept in a crate and starving.

When I got him he couldn’t even run. He is doing wonderfully now and is the best dog I have ever had. So well behaved. But I see the gratitude in him, the way he looks at me. He always has to be touching me, my wife or The Red Dog.

He likes his little pals, The Red Dog and her sister Piglet, certainly more than they like him. He lets them be bossy girls he don’t care what they say.
