I currently just put my name on a reserved list for the Evanix Viper; I want to know what kind of experiences yall had with this PCP.

It is brand new, check review videos is going to be about it. Every Evanix i have had my hands performed very well in power, accuracy and reliablity.

Supposedly the ones that eventually get delivered to you (pending WW3 or alien invasion) will have increased power versus the demo models you've seen on YouTube.

An air pistol with a stated max 16 fpe shooting 18 grain pellets for around $1000? What’s the appeal here?

As of now, the specs are not available; this air pistol alone is not even in production yet, there are only a few out there, and I believe it is YouTubers only ( guessing on the youtube part). only description I can find is:

for the .22 caliber pistol. No caliber was mentioned in the initial post. Good to know there is also a .25.

@cswift1 Nothing to be nervous about. I’ve never shopped with them but from what I’ve read and been told Airgun Pro Shop is a legit business. I just looked up the .25 and numbers on their site. I didn’t see it in my Google search results. Thanks for pointing it out. The numbers just don’t appeal to me. Id rather use my .25 Lelya 2.0 at that range. I was wondering what others found appealing in the stats. I really only consider air guns for hunting purposes.

The Viper is probably not a pistol for you based on this comment. I am interested because of the semi-function with decent pistol power. I've only had a unregulated RSII and the AR6 pistol with the Korean cliff dive shot curve so I've not experienced any of their regulated guns.
At 16fpe (although maybe not final spec) I am not concerned with the power. It's right in line with what the AP16 and the HW44 put out. Probably trading off target shooting quality for the semi function, but it seemed pretty decent based on Nate's prototype review.
I'll be an early adopter in .22 and will share my thoughts once it is available.

I don’t get it either. I guess a niche thing. For that money I can get two SD carry pistols that would be much more useful or a really good air rifle. Again much more versatile.

Would absolutely need a threaded barrel for a moderator to even be a consideration. If it had a threaded barrel, I’d buy one granted there was a little more positive user feedback floating around on this site. The other thing that would be nice would be a little bit more velocity and maybe that could be achievable while maintaining shot count through a 300 Bar fill? The first ammo I would try would be H&N Hornets. Love those little brass tips. That’s my ammo of choice in my leshiy classic. Definite sex appeal factor. The Viper has that sex appeal I feel. Just needs those few little issues addressed. The ability to moderate and get quiet shots is absolutely critical.

Oh man. Never been able to get into regular pellets. Have three Leshiy 2’s, all sluggers. Slugs or hornets. The only other thing on the air side of things is the FSC shooting grimburg HP 68’s or the ppq shooting .43 aluminum ball.

I have a .22 Evanix Viper here at Veradium Air, it was sent directly from the shot show to me so we can see what we can do with her. in the shop now. I think folks are going to be pleased when we are done. And yes we aer working on a moderator setup for it as well.
