From pistol to carbine to rifle

He told me they were out of stock and that they have a regular build schedule. Mine shipped two days later.

Now I need to breakdown and buy a drill press.
Good to know.

I’d like to compare it to my all-metal MAP Disco trigger.

I’ve adjusted it, so it’s very sensitive and crisp, but I did shim it with thin clamshell plastic for a particular build to prevent sear drag.

Modified a Fortitude tube by drilling just two holes for the P-Rod breech. Was going to order a Boyd's Rimfire Hunter stock for the Disco, but the universe put the brakes on: my water pump went out on my 2001 Ford Ranger, so opted for the $18.40 Maximus stock from Crosman Parts Department.

With a 2500 psi fill, got a 16 shot (2 mags) string starting on 910 and ending on 860, so still have some tweaking, but she's nice & light for sure. Stuffed an old raggedy hand towel in the buttstock, no more hollow ring. Also have since swapped out the medium Hawke rings for a set of low rings, much better now - having BIG FUN!!!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, ordered a M-Rod trigger pack from Airgun Revisions, and it bolted up perfectly, and 5 minutes with a radiused file is all the alteration it took!
Nice hybrid, BTW (y)

I ordered one just now.

$51 shipped to my end, but it’s not really readily available, but it will be in a week per Kevin of Crosman.

I ordered one at 1:30 CST and they said only one left in stock. Did they happen to say anything to you? It was weird, the lady immediately said they didn't have any, but then paused for about 45 seconds and said they have one.

Kevin mentioned something about a work order and that mine will be dispatched on or before Friday when I made my order.

Not really in a hurry, but he did give me the order number in case I wanna make a follow-up this week.

Fits the 1720 like they were made for each other.
If the one test fire is any indication, I won’t mess with adjustments.

Now on to my woodworking. Sand .07” or so off each side of the stock and it will fit in the hole.
Glue a dowl in an existing hole which will later be drilled for the mounting bolt. Some strategic grinding to boot.

Then figure a hole for the gauge. And if that all goes as planned I will refinish the stock as it does have some nice grain. It’s an old 160 stock, but I am not up on the lore enough to date it.

No but my 1701 and 1720 are that way, but the Prod is righty.

I may switch it when I take it apart to investigate other things. If this works out the Prod may end up in a stock also.
I shoot much better with a traditional stock compared to THs or pistol grip rifles.

The Challenger trigger ships out today said the Crosman lady.

That would have been the ticket. I forgot their housing included the guard.
Is there site back up?

I ordered a simple metal one from some Remm. 22. With a little bend it will span the 4”.

Still down, the owner said a couple weeks about week ago, so maybe soon? I can give it a shot in PLA and send it off, but no guarantees on the durability.

Thanks but I’ll see how this metal one turns out. It may look more natural spanning the hole instead of sticking out of it.

I am envisioning a piece of black plastic, held in place by the trigger guard, with slots cut for the safety and trigger. That would cover the slot which is quite long.

We’ll see. Now I must start sanding the stock.
