Another ArH seal

This one was the most oversized of the seals i got from arh. The first 2 one did not work out so well fot whatever reason and the 2ed was ok, but still?? So i went back to a stock hw seal

Then a nothing better to do day i figured id see if i could fit this last arh seal. Had to take some meat off to get it even to start in the tube but kept working it down till it pretty much felt the best of the bunch.. surprised there was any lip left ..lol but it felt good .

So finely today i got to do some real shooting resigbting, crony, ect..

Anyway gained like 20 fps over the last best ,. Trajectory arc flatter at mid range (25/30y). So after about 50 or so shots it seems to settle at 870fps ( first 5 was 980fps 7.0 domes) from the last at 850 (well used shot count) 7.9 cphp.

Funny how the 3 arh seals were different and different end results. And the one i did not like or planed to use ended up the better.

Anyway last 5 of first 50 shots at 50y cphp, irons (german 1 phenning coin)

Nice shooting with irons at 50! What gun?

Lol... Just kidding.

11 @ 20y. That 1 was a bent skirt pellet i just had to shoot .

Im waiting on todays high temp to crony that 3ed arh seal again with at least 100 shots to see if any drastic changes pr failing occur.. hoping for 75ish. Though in a day or 2 there calling for like 85' for another check run..

I always size seals so not surprised you had to.
Ya, but the difference in the same seals. This one was larger to you couldn't get it in the tube.. pretty much of 3 seals one worked well (so far). Not loosing fps not slaming ( could not see why that one did that sure was not loose fitting same pellets ) then one i never got over 800fps no matter ..
Kinda like you bought irregular pants and one pair actually fits you well..lol.
Then this one i was not even going to use at all figuring as much i had to take off it there'd be nothing left ..lol. But fooled me.. its better then the new hw seal i took out for it... Thats why when giys say getting a kit i like to recomend always get more then one seal to play with or without he only one you did get just dont pan out..

If this 3ed one dont pan out its back to hw or just grab some from vortex and see .. oh well not like i got anything better to do on rain days to see what i get ..

So between 10m and 50y about 30y is the high point of trajectory.. x is aim points used on all. Opensighted.

If the seal were made to drop in, you'd face all the same problems you have with factory seals. They have to be oversized to allow for fitting, and they have to be oversized enough to fit the biggest tubes and the pistons with the largest buttons. Also keep in mind you are using cup face seals with the ARH stuff, and they are meant to be sized to fit for max efficiency when done right. You have to remove material correctly otherwise you end up with too much sealing surface touching the tube, and then you can't tell what's really going on.

This is precisely why they all came with parachute lip seals in the first place. They just drop in and go and work. And as long as they aren't oversprung with too small of a transfer port, they work quite well with a lot less headache.

I guess seeing the 3 were not the same from near drop in to tight to not even getting started in the tube.. ( a red a yellow and a clear seal) thats a pretty big swing.. nothing uniform to start . Why i said sure glad i bought more than one.. the one i thought would work the best did not... .. not a big deal out side of grinding on the seal time wise. Not for that its just a 15 min job.. but I his 3ed seal looks to be the one. It shot all day from 50' to 72' temps shaded and full sun and had only 2 fps in high to low fps .. ill take that + a flatter trajectory , ya. And this arh spring got a good year + and no telling the 1000's of shots on it . His spring is good . shes pounded some pellets and still as good as new .. just need that tighter consistency and a tad more fps. May have it now again. Do a little trigger adj tomorrow and see if i cant slow down my premature firings. A little too lite/ hair ..
