Just an FYI. Rebuilding my little Benjamin traveler 2 and decided to use a tiny bit of the Ultimox 226 on the piston rings. Well.. It's drawing about 2 amps less than before on a 150-300 bar fill and although I haven't tried to time it.. It's filling more quickly hands down that it did when it was new. After I put a tiny amount on the rings (after having cleaned them with alcohol) I turned the machine on without load and ran it for 10 minutes. Turned it off and put 2 drops of silicone oil in the correct oil hole and fired it up. This is an ongoing test but it looks pretty good so far. The idea of running the machine for 10 minutes without load was to try to imbed the ultimox into the cylinder walls. Yes the grease is expensive but the amount I used is so small it doesn't matter.
