old Diana

Saw an old Diana bb rifle . ALL sheet metal/ rivets thin board type stock , guy is a parts guy with a few older .22 PB's , should have took some pictures BUT way over priced i think , dirt a bit of rust , said it shoots . probably does i know him and dealt b4 .
Also had a ? Himler ? #2 break barrel cant remember the spelling ,very dirty took two of us just to get it to brake

Sounds like one of their 'tin plate" models made from thick stamped steel and having a brass barrel liner. I would stick to pellets instead of BB's if you get it. They were pretty basic, introductory kids' rifles and are leather sealed. These guns could be German made or the English "Milbro" brand, also made on German machinery Diana had to give over to Great Britain as part of WWII reparations. I have one of those. Not bad little plinkers but not worth a lot.

The other rifle sounds like a Haenel, also German. These are anywhere from the late 1920's up until the East German models. The early guns are very well built although you are stuck with iron sights as they were not grooved for scopes or peeps. Later Haenels (1950-80's?) are typical Cold War industrial finish, but they aren't bad guns. And also leather sealed.

Someone offer me with Haenel but I'm not sure since I can't found its part and no one talking about it.
Did quick research that they made in Germany so I suppose it has good quality but if I can't find part I won't take it.
