FX Impact M3 Equivalent

Yup saw that one. Once my 10day timer expires ill reach out.

You can do a lot with a 22 cal, but imo in most cases a 25 cal has better performance. Were you to get something with enough energy for slugs I think its kind of a toss up. That MKII linked above is a great deal actually and I dont think you could do much better for the money. Tune it up or down for pellets or slugs and enjoy the endless possibilities an Impact provides. Lots of great 22 cal pellets that will shock you out to about 50 yards. Further is possible with pellets but slugs will be much better for longer distances.

If you just want to try the pcp world you can consider something like a Gamo Urban, or Air Venturi Avenger, JTS Airacuda, Benji MRod, etc. But buying something nicer now will end up saving you money in the long run. I spent enough on cheaper pcps I could have bought a new Impact M3 and a Uragan 2 lol.

Something to consider when planning to purchase extra bottles for the long day trips out hunting-
Say you spend close to a grand on three extra bottles, on top of the one already on your gun. Say also that whichever gun you purchase comes regulated. Once your air pressure drops to the set reg pressure, know that you’ll be removing a bottle with at least a good 1/3 of pressure still in it, and the second bottle all the way to the fourth will be the same. At the end of the day you’re left with four bottles each a third full.
And before you ask, the answer is no, you SHOULD NOT keep shooting once you’ve reached the regulstor set pressure as you can incur damages to the working innards of your gun. These are not like the CO2 guns we shot as kids where we kept shooting till the last pellet just drizzled out of your barrel and landed three feet in front of you.
So with that said, I feel it’s best to either invest in a fill tank or two, the carbon fiber lines SCBA’s prefferebly in the 74 to 88 cu ft size, or, and I truly hate to recommend one of these as they don’t last long, a 12v compressor that runs by tapping into your car batteries.

Take a hard look at your shoot situation- are you out for the day or weekend but close to your ride? If so, then forget the compressor and go with the fill tanks.

If you’re out for the day and not coming back to camp or your ride till evening then pick a gun tuned for high shot count and go with just one or two replaceable gun bottles. Just know that you’ll be swapping bottles with air still in them.

I’m highly assuming you’re going to purchase a regulated gun, by all the advice given to you of gun type

A couple of years ago, I was in a similar situation. I had been shooting an Mrod for 8 years prior, however, I wanted to add an Impact. I spent no less than 3 months debating the purchase, looking at alternatives, etc. In the end, I went with a Dreamline Tactical. I decided that I was not likely to see $800 worth of more accuracy inside of 50 yards (which is 95% of my shooting). It gets you into a pretty good, extensible platform. Change stocks, barrels and make a variety of configurations that may suit your needs down the road. You won't get the high power of the Impact, but in .177 caliber, mine's a good 65-70 yard shooter. Certainly a step up from my Mrod, both in quality and accuracy. Depending on your needs, a Dreamline gets you a lot of what shines on the Impact without all the complexities. It is perhaps the best value that FX offers, IMHO.

Thanks I agree completely.
