Compressor

So I want to get 2 things. One that has to do with airguns and what that doesnt and im not new new but im semi new to both worlds haha. I want to be able to use a Nail gun to make stuff (im having a lot of fun learnign about carpentry lately since I found out im dislexic and not just mentally challenged when it comes to building things.) SOOO now that I know how to compensate or im learning tinkering has become sooooo much easier in all aspects of my life. ANYWAY I wasn't sure if I get a tank or compressor hook up for a nail gun can it work to fill Airgun bottles. I do have a Scuba HPA (can't remember the term someone gave me a link on here for a bigger refil bottle) type tank just curious what I cna use to refill that and if I can use this compressor for both applicatons or if anyone has suggestions. IF THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT TYPE SET UPS please only laugh at me a little bit hahahaha.

No the same compressor will not work for both. Your nail gun compressor will max out at about 130 psi where as the compressor for a scuba tank/airgun needs 4500 psi. If you are using smaller nail guns 18-16 gauge, pin nails and staples then one of the small compressors from somewhere like Home Depot would work well. If you are talking about using a framing nail gun you might want a little bigger compressor. The smaller compressor will work with a framing nailer, but it may not keep up if you are nailing fast. You might have to stop occasionally and let it catch up.

Harbor freight for the nail gun compressor. The Airgun is a whole different animal. And a matter of no small debate. I too am Lysdectic and found there isn’t enough wood on this planet for me to turn into scrap.

Redtick12 is right. I will just add than I like my little Senco compressor from Home Depot for about $100 for pneumatic nail guns and my Yong Heng for my airguns. The little Senco is about $100 and works great with finish nailers. I have used it with my flooring nailer, not sure about my framing nailer but it has a small tank so it will work but is very slow. Only practical for a few nails. Very practical for finish nailers and it is quiet. That is unusual for an inexpensive compressor, even at low (100psi) pressure.

If you were on a different kind of forum there would probably be no small debate about the Harbor Freight air compressor.

Hey, they are quality...I've actually got several, noisy as heck but...they keep on working. Would I use one for day in and day out stuff. Not on this planet.
Lol. I was mostly joking. I have a some Harbor Freight tools. Like you, I buy Harbor Freight when I am getting a tool that will have occasional or light use. If it is going to get used a lot then I go for something else. They do have some nice, quality hand tools now, the Icon series, but they are not cheap.

You can get a booster that will enable you to use a pancake compressor
