The most compact PCP action

As I’m reassembling my huben, I’m reminded how small the action is. Does not cease to amaze me. The inventor somehow managed to fit an auto indexing system, not one but TWO valves, striker, hammer, spring, and trigger parts all in a block that’s smaller than a credit card!

Even more amazing is how this small of an action can put out almost 100 fpe! (In .25) I’m not aware of another platform that can put out that much energy from that small of an action.

Now only if huben could make a wood stocked carbine, that would be drool worthy

Wow I didn’t know the .25 L2 can get up to that power level.

The L2 appears to be as small but its valve is 10 times the size of the huben. Half of the huben action is housing the trigger system + safety where as in the L2 it’s housed in the pistol frame. The L2 is a cool gun but to make it more powerful you have to add longer barrels and huge moderators to tame the bark. By the time you’re done it’s no longer the cool compact semi auto. With the huben you don’t have to add anything to adjust power from 12 fpe to 95 fpe.

After talking to @Legionair and a few others I did decide to get the k1 as I had the L2 already it was a good opportunity to try them side by side. I already took mine apart to learn and once you do it it's not bad at all talking just basics it's great. I have the wood version of the k1 and I don't normally like wood but the look on this one is good. Honestly with my custom shroud on my L2 and the atom on the k1 they are almost the same.

I’m not sure you understand where the valve/action is in a leshiy 2. That’s small piece attached to the rear tube (not the actual chassis of the gun), is the valve and action. It’s is all housed in that part even smaller than the Huben, and yes, the Leshiy 2 is capable of serious power. There are some pieces that will need to be changed to do so. There are jets inside the leshiy that are different sizes for different calibers or power levels. At least on the Huben, it’s a matter of raising reg pressure and turning a knob.

I understand where the action is on an L2. The valve is quite a bit larger compared to the huben.

As you can see from the pic the huben valve is about the size of a small tootsie roll.

Also, that tubular part of the huben action is an empty space to connect the air tube whereas on the L2 the tubular part of the housing is the giant valve.

The Huben is amazing in .25......slugs sized to .253 fit snug in the mag, and accuracy is sub MOA, A great gun that just did not get that much attention but I love it as its quiet, and powerful and I killed 3 coyotes last year with it by using a predator call with a remote. Coyotes are fixated on the sound, and if you sit a ways away from the caller, and use the remote, its kinda of like a coyote ambush, lol.
