Tired waiting for a replacement barrel from beeman, could stand looking at it laying apart for months on end, had a crosman barrel laying around that was not accurate enough, some copper pipe took up clearance perfectly, orings to seal barrel wasn't needed, to my surprise it shoots half inch holes at 18 yards, I've gained enough patience to wait for warranty barrel.

Well done! There's a satisfaction of fixing it yourself...sometimes enough to cancel out the disappointment of getting a lemon. FWIW after having nothing but positive experiences with the QB platform for almost a decade, the first two (and only two) I've gotten since they went under the Beeman name have had barrels that were absolute turds, one a .177 and the other a .22. I asked around and others reported they're still getting good barrels so I guess it's just you and me having back luck

And coincidentally one of mine also now has a little gold-colored bit near the receiver where I sleeved a 14" LW blank to fit it:

Now thats awesome, good to hear I'm not alone, seems getting a good barrel on a beeman is about 50/50, my last two needed ammo with .179 heads , nearly impossible to find, and even harder to convince beeman its over size.

I sleeved a .25 barrel like that when I stuffed it in one of my Crosman 362s and made it a 365.
