What is the best Semi-Auto Airgun?

Clearly not many options in this category. I have a Leshiy 2 now since the first round of 100 hit the states and I love it. Have had it in many configurations both low power and high power. Have had .22 in 65fpe and currently running a .30 600mm @ 105fpe. Problem is it moves a lot of air and take a lot to quiet it down.

My friend @brawler1588 recently got a Huben K1 in .25 and after hearing his perspective, watching a lot of videos on it, having owned a 2020 Huben K1 in .22 for a bit, I would have to say it might be the best .25 semi out there at the moment. Easily tunable for 20 fpe to 100 fpe from what I have seen. Not huge or overly long and reasonably quiet due to a very effective shroud which can be brought down even further with minimal additional moderation.

BTW - I see your from CT. I'm your neighbor about 40 minutes north.

I am very good friends with @ctshooter and i see you are also only 35 minutes from me. If you wanted we could meet up and you can try the huben k1 and the leshiy 2 both of mine are in .25 but after only owning the huben for a very short time I am extremely happy with it. If you would like more detailed information or any questions don't hesitate to reach out.

For better or for worse, two airguns popped into my mind immediately upon reading the question. To me, the top 2 dogs are Huben K1 and Steyr Pro X. Coincidentally both fetch a pretty penny.

I’m really obsessing over the K1 lately, but the real deal killer for me is (from what I gather) should a mechanical issue arise, the owner is basically SOL.

Saw a review on the Pro X, and the thing that really got my attention was the 1” or so group the reviewer got while shooting rapid fire. Downside to me is aesthetics on it. But that’s a personal thing anyway.

I have a Huben K1 and an LCS SK-19, the Huben is the better of the two, IMHO. The Huben is quieter and has a better trigger than The SK-19. I have also owned semi-autos from Benjamin, AEA and Evanix and the both the SK-19 and K1 are head and shoulters above the others. I bought my Huben from Kelly at Kraz Kool Airguns, so I'm not all that concerned about repairs if any are ever needed since he also services them and is a top notch guy! Now the SK-19 is another story ,since Utah Airguns dropped it from their line, I'm not sure where I'd go if it needed parts or repair.

The Pro X isn't available in .25 but as far as appearance goes they grow on you like a new pet, regardless of color you love them...I like the aesthetics of these groups...not Rapid fire but just as well could be...precision accuracy out of a semi auto...I'm all in! BTW they eat a lot of pellets even non rapid fire, just not having to cock the thing!

I 100% agree with the recommendation of Kelly I would not deal with anyone else he has gone above and beyond what a seller should do. He has answered every single question without hesitation. Even after the sale we still even chat back and forth. He sent me videos on how to tear it down. With that said the day my k1 one arrived I went out and sighted it in with the atn close range 25y standing with my Tripod, about an hour later saw a rabbit and got a perfect shot at 40 yards. The k1 one wasn't even close to be broken in with only 30 pellets through it. I am so far very happy with it, probably the most excited I have been with a purchase in a while.

Thanks a lot; I was considering the Leshiy in 350mm barrel and carbon tank (Edgun Leshiy 2 - Python Cowboy EDition) since it's light, and closer to an AR in terms of look. I'm primarily into airsoft guns for the fun of shooting each other and being able to see another day. From March, with some neighbors, we do some fun skirmishes in one of our neighbor's backyards; if you and your friend @brawler1588 are interested, let me know; you guys are welcome to join the party; I have a few airsoft guns for you guys if you don't own any.

Thanks for your reply and invitation, below is the reply I just sent to your good buddy @ctshooter:

Besides, your Leshiy looks sick! I also thought about the same CF handguard but I wanna attach a flashlight/IR illuminator, and from what I see there is probably not enough space for an MLock screw between the handguard and the suppressor. soI'm probably gonna get the https://www.edgunwest.com/store/edgun-leshiy-2/item/edgun-leshiy-2-python-cowboy-edition/ython Cowboy version which has pic rails at 12 and 6 o'clock.

I have two L2’s and love them. They are light, compact, fun to shoot. I would recommend an L2 to anyone. That being said I have not shot any other semi-auto, so when I say I would recommend the L2 to anyone I am not saying I would recommend it over the Huben. I am sure if you got L2 you would not be disappointed, from other peoples posts sounds like the same is said for the Huben.

Thanks for recommending a good shop cuz it is good to have a great gun but poop happens and it is always useful to have a guy who replies to you!

Good thread! Subscribed. Hopefully it stays alive if new products come available.

I went from the L2 to the FX M3. Overall I am much happier with the M3, there was a lot I did not like about my L2. But I slowly start to regret selling the L2 because it was light, fun, and it also looked fantastic. And because I gave the darn thing away after eBay was done with me. Since I sold mine, I have been looking for a semi auto that has a decent sized magazine and one that is easy to reload (unlike the L2), portable, quiet, regulated, and has a good trigger and a proper safety mechanism. Ohh and it needs to look good. Basically an L2, without the L2's shortcomings. I don't like the look of the Huben or the Steyr.

That is exactly my point. I love my FX M3 and Airforce Texan and I returned the AEA Carbine cuz it was a lemon. But I wanna have a semi auto. And I actually love the L2 for its lightweight and look. It is for me the best looking airgun, cuz it looks and handles like an AR I guess. Gonna try that one this week end with a member on this thread. On my airguns I prefer to have a red dot and magnifier combo more than a scope. On my Texan I'm using an 1-8x LPVO but I still prefer a red dot.
I think the upcoming Western Airguns Sidewinder should be a good one.
