FX Impact upper Guiding Plate Q

I am starting my new winter project replacing the upper Guiding Plate (B14), but nothing suits my needs that is currently available off shelf.
Me personally I need a longer picatinny rail toward the stock, and I want it adjustable same as OEM, but mounted on thicker plate...
I see pros and cons in all of these products from SaberTactical vs AirMarksman vs Kraford&Lypt, and currently nobody is combining the features from these three, so I will be designing my own.
I remember also reading occasionally some users complains about slight holes misalignment and they had some difficulties mounting the screws.
Was that a user error in aligning the components ? or manufacturing error ? or the MK1 - MK2 - M3 upper hole pattern have been changed slightly?

I think the misaligned holes comes from people taking gun apart and not setting the plenum right. How far the plenum goes into the trigger block of the gun has an effect on those top rail screws. That's why I always tighten a38 after their aligned.

...top plate off install helicoil inserts into the threaded holes....
I have SSt helicoil inserts already in the Rear Block, all the rest of it is easy, but the two side plates are to concern.
The 7x series aluminum prices are up in the sky. A friend of my has a machine shop but doesn't have a picatinny cutter, I checked online the prices are insane. I will most likely order from PRC but that means ETA over a month.

While you have your top plate off install helicoil inserts into the threaded holes. Much stronger threaded connection with no concerns about ever stripping the ports.

I’ve got company coming all day today, tomorrow I’ll send you the sketch via pm
When using helicoils do you have to use a smaller diameter screw once it's in? I would imagine it must take up some of the holes diameter. Or maybe they need to be drilled and tapped slightly larger? How do they work?

@ JOES41-
The factory screws for that top plate are M3. Just get a helicoil insert kit for M3 screws, so you can reuse the same fasteners. It does come with a slightly larger drill bit, tap, and coil insert tool

These things are inexpensive, really, so I ordered M3, M4, M5 and M6 kits which will cover pretty much any fastener in most metric based pcp’s.

It’s one of the tools considered as emergency repair, so you’re not without for too long, lol
