Red wolf trigger

Hello,

The red wolf trigger I have is roughly 2 ounces which I like to increase but every time I do that it either goes to 15 ounces but I like to have 5 ounce trigger . I don’t seem to get anything in between.

Also the screw set by the factory on the trigger what does it do and how do I know if it was adjusted ? Is there a way to reset it or adjust it to factory ? Is there a feel or sound to set it too?

My friend, you have contracted the Red Wolf trigger virus, painful but not often fatal! Believe it or not, by continuing to tinker with that screw, you can get what you want. If it is on 2 ounces, but can go to 15 ounces, then it can also go to anything in between. Unlike a mechanical trigger, with the electronic trigger you are adjusting the preset pressure on a contact pad, and the tiniest of movement has a significant effect. Given the adjustment you are able to get now, I don't believe you should need to move the "factory" screw. On my first RW, I did need to move that screw a little, and it will do no harm to try. Again, a slight movement has significant effect. In moving the screw, I found it necessary to use the long end of an allen key, because it takes a lot of leverage to control a very slight amount of movement. If you can perceive movement, then you've probably moved it too much. I don't much like electronic triggers, but they do have the advantage of virtually unlimited adjustment, and once achieved, it will probably never need further attention. Good luck, it will finally work for you.
